Please let us use controllers on legion.....do it for the original dusters.... Something we're keeping in mind for sure going forward.
Don't be surprised when you won't have aim assist. Controllers will be a secondary control method, so it more then likely won't have an aim assist, or if it does it will be negligible. They also won't put any restrictions on the kb/m so it will fly free as a bird.
Controllers will not be a competitive method of input, but if you play casually there probably won't be an issue for you. |

I've been running with auto aim turned off already, I'll still back that controllers will be competitive still in Legion. DS3 WARRIORS UNITE!
You are currently playing a game that has aim assist as well as kb/m restrictions to attempt at evening the playfield between two inputs that have large disparities in efficiency.
Play a game that's removes those shackles, and you'll be singing a new tune.
Edit - on a side note, there are aim assisting software that you are unable to turn off. So even when you turn it off in the options, you will always have some sort of aim assist helping you. This is true with almost every FPS game on a console. |

And I can't wait, they unlock the restrictions for KB/M so will controller.
I wish it was in a nearer future so we could "I told you so" to each other. =P
You don't quite understand.
There are no restrictions on the DS3 currently. Only additions to make aiming more fluid. There are restrictions on the KB/M to prevent it from overcoming the limitations that the DS3 has.
On Legion, the KB/M restrictions will be completely removed and more then likely the additions the DS3 have will also be completely removed. If not removed, the aim assist will be tapered back to a fraction of what it currently is in dust. This is the case with almost all PC games, because the controller is a secondary method of input.
CCP was one of the few, if not only, game company that tried to create two unbalanced inputs as a primary. This led to the KB/M being choked back to laughable levels compared to Unreal Tournament, and why DS3 has such a large impacting aim assist.
As you can tell from the history of CCP tinkering with it trying to find a balance between the two inputs, it failed horribly. I doubt they will try to do it again Legion. |

I'd love to see turn speed related to character weight, or for full realism, tuned to the weapon. Pistoleers turn 1:1 and HMG users gotta swing that ***** to turn around at all.
But FPS players console or PC usually hate any kind of strategy or playstyles different from point and click so it'll never happen. In fact its basically a crime for you to generalise so that leads me to believe that whole post is one troll, 10/10.
In all honesty his posts just confuse me. |

The problem is that a gamepad is considered a casual controlling input for the precise reasons of needing an Aim assist to perform well. And rightfully so to be blunt. Competition means using ones own skill to become the victor. The game aiding you In "increasing" the skill you might not have is not a desirable mechanic for most in said competitions.
On the PC where the KB&M is the primary input, it will always be considered competitive and therefore more important. Game companies will make a game ideal for their largest playerbase, and it's obvious what it is for the PC. |
