Simple concept here...... if you don't want to be here anymore, then leave.
Stop trying to ruin the community on your way out the door.... just go, now and let those of us who want to stay have a meaningful dialogue with CCP about how to proceed.
All the ragefest is doing is prolonging answers and new information. You lot have chased off the devs. They're not speaking to the playerbase because there is a LOT of hatebile being sprayed all over the walls, right now. Your internet toughguy acts are doing the complete opposite of what you want them to do, and it's only hurting the people who still care about the game.
DUST 514 doesn't add much at all to CCP's financial coffer. In fact, it's mostly been a drain on their bottom line, and you mouthbreathers demanding refunds are making that worse.
NO WONDER they aren't talking to us.
So just pack up your toys and storm off. Go gripe and complain to the other kids in gym class and leave us alone to pick up the pieces. Biomass, uninstall DUST, and forget the address to the forums.
Goodbye, and good riddance.

Which ones? There's been quite a few "Burn Jita" events. It's becoming more of a tradition than a protest, now.

Legion would have to show major improvement in order for me to consider it. Dust was always kind of crappy. As a result, I am not sure I trust CCP to develop an FPS on any system whether it be PC, XboxOne, or PS4 at the moment.
I will take a wait and see approach. I do however, think they are making the right move by porting everything to PC though. The whole Dust concept never seemed right for consoles. Their approach to making the announcement however, left a lot to be desired sort of like Lebron James' decision to go to the Heat. Right move, but could have handled it better.

No, but I did expect CCP to at least provide SOME information regarding DUST514 at the 'DUST514 keynote'. We aren't playing Legion now, & won't be for some time. I am playing DUST514, & would like to know their plans for it. Is that to complicated to understand? Plus CCP stands to make even less money on DUST514 now(because of the horrendous PR), while they intend to keep supporting it. How does that make any sense? |

lol good point as well. I find myself having to answer many questions for my friends because I have not left irc since fanfest.
I think the information there is unofficial mostly though as things are still up in the are and could change. Although there are no planned majoy updates to dust and its unlikely, he said its not impossible. The way I took it.... nothing is certain right now. Legion does not have the complete greenlight yet. I think they will post more information on the forums in an official capacity once things are more certain.

I'm just not one to sit idlly by while a community I care about is ripped apart at the seams because a few people are behaving in an immature manner.
I've been pretty immature, myself. All it took was a few cups of coffee and a drive to clear my head.
I'm still not likely to tolerate willful stubbornness, though. But I think I've some clarity to at least be more....... polite about it.

Well aware of what happened at Fanfest. I've been outspoken in my opinion that CCP should have announced it before people paid good money to fly to Iceland. I still don't think this much rage was warranted. But I don't hold CCP blameless for their misguided decision.
We EVE players have endured a number of foulups by CCP. They're human beings, and they make mistakes. But when the EVE playerbase called them on their poor choices, they straightened up and made it right in our eyes. The community gets stronger, every time.
Once cooler heads prevail, the DUST (soon to be Legion) community will experience the same upswings EVE has enjoyed.

I can't speak for everyone of course, but for me, anytime someone like you defends CCP and tries to make excuses for their wretched behaviour (however pure your motives for doing so are) is simply going to wind me up. You're welcome to do it, but you have to understand that it's going to cause annoyance for a significant proportion of the remaining playerbase.

That's where you have misunderstood. I'm more defending the community. I don't always agree with CCP and I wish they'd think things out a little better, sometimes.... but they do provide the community. Without CCP there would be no EVE or DUST. We have to help them understand us. Raging out and attacking eachother on the forums doesn't help CCP understand us.

Interesting. Because I was subscribed to Sport Compact Car from the day the magazine started to the day it ended. Suddenly and without warning at the end of 2008.
There were still open projects they didn't finish that I wanted to see through to the end.
Did I rage out at the publisher and demand my money back? Nope. I was a customer of the only worthwhile custom car magazine, ever, for several years, and I walked away feeling like I had lost nothing.
With the DUST issue, at least the game will continue on with another platform. SCC readers didn't even get that much.

Ok, so it ended. You still had all of the magazines that you paid for did you not? You could still pull them out of the cabinet or wherever you had them and read them didn't you?
Very soon, that'll no longer be the case in here for strictly console people. Plus, when the magazine subscription ended, the publisher didn't come to you and tell you to pay out more money (and collected it) for upcoming magazines even though it was getting shut down.
Now, I'll probably move over to Legion when it comes out. However, I am still irked at CCP's maneuver with that booster hype. That's what sticks me the most.

Considering three things here:
1. Aside from my PC, I own two consoles and two handheld systems, so I don't understand how I qualify as "PC Master Race".... you're just looking for ways to insult me. And my PC isn't even a custom gaming rig. It's an off-the-shelf semi-gaming Samsung.
2. Still not sure where you come up with this "he must be sucking off people at CCP".... when you give sexual favors, you usually GET something in return.... not give and give. That's just a bad investment when you think about it.
3. I have repeatedly said I was not happy with the way CCP announced this. It should have been said in a Devblog 6 months ago. I'm just as unhappy as you lot are about that, I'm just not spewing ragebile about it.
I would say YOU are the one that needs a lesson in how to form an effective argument.
