Oh, they've already got the police involved and is being treated as a criminal offence - the monument is actually property of the city of Reykjavik, so it's being taken very seriously.

But the scratching the name out is pretty ****** up. There are two separate vandalisms here. The other one is at the bottom of the page. The monument is a tribute to the Eve Online players after all. If anything we should thank the goons for giving the monument a bit of flavor to it. The insignia is not even covering a single name which brings me to my next point. I draw the line when it comes to scratching out names of players. The insignia I can forgive, but scratching out anyone's name on a monument is something I will never condone no matter how much I hate the name.
