I come to this forum to stay updated on Dust, but Devs only seem to want to discuss Legion now. Is this going to end or should I just stop logging in here?
For those of us who still want to enjoy Dust while it is still running and populated. For those of us still trying to enjoy the money we spent on your product. Trying to convince friends and corp mates to keep logging in for good times.
Can you stop avoiding questions about Dust? Maybe make a "Future of Dust 514" sticky?
Please and Thank You! |

I feel like honest, bad news would be better than the silent treatment we are getting. |

In addition to content/patches, I'm curious if they will continue to have monthly events (at least for a while). I thought that was a pretty effective way of keeping the game interesting. Sadly I expect that to end as well. |

J'Jor Da'Wg wrote:You can expect absolutely nothing because development on DUST is basically done. Bug fixes and maybe some rebalancing is all there is to come.
DUST is, according to CCP, in its final form and includes all content that will ever come to the game.
PVE, Market, PC 2.0, anything new will be coming to Legion if it ever gets off the ground.
"Keep buying boosters though" - CCP
That's the crazy thing to me. As much as I'd love to believe that CCP would have a change of heart or there was some wild miscommunication, I highly doubt we will get any new content. But from a business point of view it feels like CCP shot themselves in the foot.
They could have made a soft reveal, stated that development would be cut but still continue to some minimal degree. Then say "look, we are going to take the next six months with a skeleton crew and work on a final content patch. We can't promise anything but we will try our best to round off the edges as much as possible. After that expect only balance patches."
They could have kept minimal support and milked the game for more money a lot longer. I suppose we can applaud them for not doing this. |

Is there data on Aurum sales or is this your personal speculation? I thought CCP didn't share that kind of information. I'm sure forum users are unlikely to spend more on the game at this point but The majority of players likely don't check the forums and are still in the dark. But that said, yes, it doesn't look good as far as Dust being kept alive past this year.
Speaking of which, and getting back to CCP communication. I wonder if CCP will bother to post something in the login screen (where we have event info and stuff. They could even try to spin it as good news. It would be nice if CCP tried to be honest and open to all players, not just forum users. Lack of future content is kind of a big deal. |

True, I just feel bad for those that are totally out of the loop. And if you ever use squad finder like chat roulette to hop around, you discover there are a LOT of clueless Dust players :P I feel a little sorry for them. |
