Problems not related to Ps3 hardware:
Balancing Matchmaking Red-line mechanics Phantom firing weapons server stability FW mechanics PC mechanics in-game markets player to player trading PvE Content production Shooting Mechanics Flight/driving Physics Buggy Terrain introduction of new and interesting bugs after every patch dust voice being garbage (at least CCP is consistent, eve voice is garbage too)
Hey look, everything that is wrong with the game.
These are all mistakes coming from shoddy programming, not from lack of power.
Oh but I forgot... PC will fix this.... (god some of you just know nothing)

Ares 514 wrote:Having watched their "dust 514" presentations and from probably more play time then all their devs combined I can say they do not truly grasp where they went wrong and are looking to mess up all over again. Ironically many in this community could explain to them their mistakes if they would only listen. I agree, unfortunately equally many from this community think that the dust code will be better on PC because MAGIC PC MAN.

Pseudogenesis wrote:On PC you can release patches as quickly as you can make and test them. On console you have to submit every little thing to Sony and let their QA sort it out before proceeding.
With PC, problems could be hotfixed in days, rather than weeks.
LOL, you do realize that a ton of minor things... like the HMG and commando HP change, can be done without going through sony right? You know why they can do this.. it is because those are server side adjustments that do not require a patch.
Also, CCP has proven that they need someone to check their code before they deploy, or have you forgotten about boot.ini, melting motherboards, bricking Ps3s and whatnot?
Also the patching process was never the problem in Dust development, it was the shoddy code written by CCP.

CCP IS pushing the PS3 to the max - The max they can achieve. Seriously my PS3's fans ROAR when I play DUST, where as even GTA V takes a while to start doing that.
Top development houses took years to understand how to work with the PS3, and by the time CCP manages to do that, the PS3 will already be obselete. Sony has bent over backwards to help CCP, they even allowed CCP to break rules that they have about PSN. At this point in the life of the PS3 the middleware tools are outstanding.
The problem is simply put, cheap chinese labor. Zipper was not a large studio, and by no means was it Sony's A-listers. As stated by the devs, they heartily modified just about every part of the UE3 engine, and they did this with the absolute cheapest labor they could find in china.
No, CCP is running un-optimized code on the PS3 because at heart they are PC programmering company , and as such are just horrible coders. (want proof, go look at how many times CCP has had to re-write eve's base code.

Break? More like re-write (bending over backwards is correct in this assessment) and experiment on the ground that Sony has a desire for a MMO Console environment. Something MS is going to be behind on this go around. Because of that even warframe still has to deal with the same rules that sony has conceded on so far; their updates are a month behind from the pc version; bug fixes addressing serious bugs can take up to a month to see adress. And there is STILL performance issues on the PS4; a powerhouse of a machine unable to run warframe as smoothly as my computer. Based on analysis 2015 is not going to be a terrible year to put out a purebreed ps3 game. You'll end up like the well unknown shooter Black at that point. PS4 adoption rate is phenomenal surpassing ps3 and all other console hallmarks. Remember how fast the original xbox died? PS3 is on the track for the quick death. Xbox360 and wii u is going to be the slow to die platform this go around. The fact there is cross games now instead of exclusive games for either or spells doom already. Zipper is dead; even their post death game didn't get funding. Also I have never enjoyed a socom game ever; there was something formulaically wrong with every title they had to the point it was off putting. Majority of the Shanghai team responsible for dust 514 are not the locals. Also any fool thinking that console developers are not PC software developers before are total idiots. That's like citing ignorance over the fact that majority of jrpg story writers didn't start off as jdating sim writers. Everything has history and there are just so many blemishes people want to forget so quickly. Take Zipper for example; go play a socom on the game cube and be appauled. LOL, look at how lfull of crap you are:
Warframe has been out on the PC for no less than 8 extra months, and it was not in good shape when it first came out to PC. There is no wonder why it would run better, they have had an extra 8 months of bug fixes. I'll let you in on a little secret, Sony's Q&A procedure for testing code is to protect you, the end user.
On top of that, way to be completely disengenous. Due to how Sony lets CCP operate, CCP can deploy server side hotfixes whenever they like (as seen with the HMG fix). Sure when CCP wants to deploy code to Sony's platform, sony of course wants to check. Did you forget how CCP has a history of breaking hardware with their code? Sony cannot afford that, and CCP is notorious for it. Anyway, balancing patches could be deployed at any time directly to the server, there is no excuse to wait on that.
You act like you know what is going on with the PS3, and that is is even comparable to the XBOX...
Did you know that PS2 sold over 50 million more consoles AFTER sony had moved on to the PS3? I am not saying that is what is going to happen, but I am saying that the PS3 is no XBOX(dead-last place last gen, MS console), having outsold the XBOX360 worldwide. Sony does not have a history of just dumping a product and running away (lol, CCP does now)
If you want to write code for a console, you have to write optimize code. It is historical precedent that PC developers write horribly un-optimized code. Of course all code monkeys know how to write code for PC, it is just that you can't run sh-t code on a console and be competitive.
Zipper Interactive didn't make a gamecube game, but of course why would I expect you to talk about anything you know something about... you do not dissapoint IWS, always full of crap. You know, I don;t think you ever even played Socom, due to the fact that you think Zipper made one on gamecube. Way to lie to try to make a point IWS, classic IWS.
