Idk if your not getting it....yes its a failing game....yes it could be better....but CCP messed up here when they could of prospered

Many dust player have invested in a CONSOLE game...CONSOLE.....not PC

CCP has cheated us out of alot of money then proceed to basically tell the dust community they can go **** themselves (with there actions obviously )

Not to mention that all we have been promised and invested in isnt even going to happen for us but for another community

And the next gen console comment....PS4 is where they could have gone but they aren't giving a ******* answer on that

And Frankly if i want a F2P FPS game for PC there is tons out there that are A WHOLE ******* LOT more trustworthy than CCP
(go to steam there is quite i few) like TF2 is the best example

How do you know they could have gone to PS4? How in the world would you even know if that was an option on the table? I don't see how it could be. And they haven't committed to anything yet fully. The big issue is that you don't get it and neither does the remaining 1000 people that play this game still on a regular biases. Its a dead game. Its too late. And there is a possibility by taking this next step that it may actually be successful. But it won't be successful if EVE players don't care and it will be really hard for it to be successful if you still call it DUST 514. If you can't see why that may be a poor marketing strategy then I am sorry. And just because a small portion of what lefts of your client base spent a bunch of money on a product on the past doesn't give any reason to continue it if it has failed overall. Plus TF2 is poor comparison to the kind of FPS CCP wants to make. There is literally nothing that compares to the concept of FPS MMO that CCP is trying to make. So ultimately if you truly support DUST 514 and want to see it continue embrace the change. Evolve. Support playing Project Legion on PC because it is your only hope of a truly successful future for the game.

I have heard a lot of negative comments and complaining about how DUST 514 is no longer being continued and is being replaced by Project Legion. I just wanted to know how people did not see this coming. The writing has been on the wall for so long that this is a dying game. The concept and overall idea of the game is great and that idea is revolutionary in some ways. However the game play, graphics, and overall system of economy has been sub par for some time. I mean this game was developed in a now outdated engine on a system that would have been on par with a decent gaming PC seven years ago.

Honestly I think CCP made the right step in revamping this game and starting from scratch with no limitations from either a way outdated system or game engine. There won't be complications in having to deal with Sony and their network either. I am also happy they have given new branding to the title as well, because the overall ratings of DUST 514 by game reviewers has not been good. I mean would Sony even want DUST 514 on PS4 given its reviews and graphics? This literally is the best chance CCP has to make a FPS MMO that is on par and that can compete with what is already out on the market.

If this is done the right way, we could have better graphics. We could have better game play with no latency issues. We could have bigger maps that truly have a sand box feel rather than being dropped into a random fishbowl. CCP could adopt the PLEX system with Project Legion and do away with the Aurum system that was revolted against in EVE. Trust me PLEX is better. Also on top of that, the true bread and butter that makes CCP profitable and keeps them going will be truly involved in the game. Who am I talking about? EVE players. EVE is what has made CCP successful and the overall interest in the EVE community about DUST 514 overall has been minimal at best. This could change with Project Legion.

I have played DUST 514 for so long it is not even funny. I played it for a year before it was even released, however there came a point when it was very obvious that this game was not going to be a success. I love the idea of DUST 514 and a truly sandbox style FPS MMO with the intricacies of what DUST 514 was envisioned to have is what the market needs. But the EVE community needs to care about it and be able to play it on PC. And it has to be up to date with current graphics and new branding. If this happens and it is a success then who knows? There could be a port to PS4.

Lastly I wanted to say I'm sorry to those of you who feel betrayed by CCP but you need to wake up and see the big picture. This is the only chance you have of seeing a game like DUST 514 being played in the future on a new generation console. I see no other way and I think the marketing strategy is a million times better then trying to breathe life into a game that has already been deleted by gamers off their old gen console system sometime last year and dismissed by game critics. I hope Project Legion is a success and I hope that CCP has learned from their first shot at an FPS. If they have a phoenix may rise from the ashes of what remains of DUST 514 and a truly successful FPS may emerge.
