Cause few will believe you have the skills to pull it off now anyway.
If you still think you have what it takes to build a FPS shooter and have big plans for a large sandbox.... stick to EVE expansions... no new names. Just add to EVE and spare the rest of us.
Let the EVE pilots fly somewhere, exit their ships and go shoot people. If people were to really stop and think about it, separate games with minor tie in links to each other is lame anyway. Sounded good, but turned out LAME, crap idea from day one.
If a Merc can't be a pilot and vice versa,,,, don't waste yours or anyone else's time.
You want to impress people. Make EVE do it all, then port it to Xbox1 and PS4.
Anything less is gimmick, and your gimmicks suck. Redefine your vision
One sandbox, one game.

Gimmicks, lame gimmicks.
How about an example. Grand theft Auto. Imagine you had to log into one toon to fly a plane... and with that toon you could only fly a plane, no parachutes, landing or getting out of the plane. Or you can log in and rampage for awhile as one toon. then relog in and go do missions. Relog again to race around.
GTA was groundbreaking in all you could do in one game as one character, without all that crap.
What you describe is the faint yet persistent hope that merging games is actually a good idea and makes two or three sandboxes one big sandbox. It doesn't, it didn't and it won't.
Maybe I'm wrong.. It would be nice after all that while I'm playing frogger, I could switch and squad up with a buddy playing pacman and storm a level, then trade our pacman cherries on an open market... we could take that money and buy some extra lives for a a round or two of Kong. Awesomesauce vision in your mind eh? How is that not one game?
