However, imagine paying $1000s to go to FanFest to hear about DUST 514's future, just to have all of it be nothing involving DUST 514, other than a "Development will cease to exist" statement.

Did EVE: Legion need to happen? Yes. But do you honestly think this was the best way to go about things?

The only people who will embrace EVE: Legion are those who own PCs, and EVE: Online players who wanted DUST 514 to die in the first place.

CCP could have probably explained it a lot better at the time but we have come to expect CCP to leave stuff to the last minute.
