I thought I might as well make a thread dedicated to the corporations of Dust 514. I'm not sure if such a thread exists, if so I apologise to the author if I'm thunder-stealing.
Corporations added to this last will be of past and present. I will add corporations based on their mark in Dust 514. I value a corporations 'mark' depending on their power/relevancy/popularity/wealth/tactics/manpower/fame at any one point. Corporations may be here for good reasons or the bad.
These corporations are listed in no particular order, they are not ranked whatsoever. I may later re-arrange these to be alphabetical
If I am missing anyone, please do not get butthurt, just add it in the comments and I shall judge whether I think you should make it onto this list.

Its a corp me and my buddy started after closed beta then we joined another corp but we just recently started it up again, my original character was SHEPARDS ABONERBOMB and my buddys name was BONERBOMB TIGGBITTIES |

You can choose to add mine or lot. I mention it because our history is much of what's great about this universe and how I got hooked.
Brief history: we came in as randoms during beta and are were all recruited separately to join Royal Assassins Guild. The eve side leadership lost interest in Dust so we literally all left in the middle of the night one night.
Initially joined another corp briefly to try and protect our eve pilots from retribution (only partly successful), and a week or so later formed UNIT. 9 months later only one of the 25 founding members left for another corp on their own (2 got booted), though we lost many to other games, and only about half of us are left.
Unfortunately, just as we started to grow our ranks again with a nice recruiting push, it all falls apart. I don't know how many others are staying around because the one time I logged on (to get their PSN ID's) nobody was on to ask.

Swamp marines, was minmatar fw heavy at one point and created in uprising, I joined slightly after it was created. Its a good example of trying so fking hard to create and build a corp with such a small player base purely on a whim that it might get good and in essence totally fking wasted time.
Its gone now, re branded as Kleenex INC for motives I cannot discuss, nothing amazing but extremely fiendish.
Eventually..... 
Was in D3lta Forc3 though when it was a competer, seraphim briefly and R.I.f.t when I was a newb.
Oh yeah, we have managed to keep the same 33 players in swamp the whole time with some new additions but most new players quit unless you spoon feed them dust potential bullsht. It looks like everyone will quit now soon.

As much as I'd like to I'm not going to add Swamp Marines. You were the only member I ever saw and I only ever saw you on the forums, have added this into the OP for clarification.
