if legion is released what do you think is going to be the biggest issues? we've never been wrong before. 1. aimbots
2. aimbots
3. wallhacks
4. devs that aren't worth a FI_ICK
Everything I say or do has the utmost importance.

4. devs that aren't worth a FI_ICK you forgot Mods lol. They will mod their equipment to do very strange things like flying LAVs and tanks that can shoot through walls. Lol Good luck to those that actually play that game i hope you love raging. I survived two straight years of Halo 2 being modded to the point of insanity, I will survive Legion mods, should they come to light. I'm going to risk being too optimistic here, and I would like to think that the first big problem is that the game will actually be too open, that it won't have enough players to make it feel full, so it will feel kind of lonely at first. So long as there are drones to kill, and corps to run / join, I think it will be fine.
but in halo you didn't lose anything. the modding cod4 days were awesome because when you died only your KDR got hurt. which no one really cared about.
could you imagine losing a proto suit/tank or even a planet to a group of people who paid for aimbots? the only people could stand up to them would be getting an aimbot yourself. kinda defeats the purpose of a FPS

the only thing i've seen are lag switches in dust.

To this day, we Eve players have to deal with certain players within our game that use Macro Bots that marginalize our own player-driven efforts. Mining Bots Mission Bots Market Bots and Hauler Bots What these kind of macro bots do is enable a player to tell the computer to do everything for him. Some access the memory of the computer to manipulate data while other literally read the image on your monitor to operate your ship. This effectively enables you to do your dishes, go take a shower, mow the lawn, and even leave your house for the rest of the day while the computer is managing your ship for you. But keep in mind that this is only possible because Eve Online uses a point-to-point system which is completely different from a FPS game. You click on a point in space and the ship moves over there. No joystick needed.
my old ceo used to do that. he said as long as he stayed in high sec he could leave his eve client all day without touching it. hes not taking stuff from anybody but he is abusing. we had him reported and he is still banned. 4 year old char banned.

If the game is free, I will be there, and worst case scenario, I simply move on to another game. I was already planning to quit DUST anyways, so it's a win win for me.
i just got my gaming pc and every shooter i have tried has about 3 aimbotters in every lobby. thats why i stick to strategy games. starcraft 2, LOL. been trying eve i kinda liked it but once my trial is up thats it.

Ulysses Knapse wrote:Hacks and exploits aren't as big of a problem as you might think.
If you get caught using them, you can and will lose your characters and assets. Your skills, ISK and items are more beneficial to you than an aimbot or wallhack, and they won't get you banned. So why use hacks?
because a lot of people dont have the reaction time or precision to play a FPS competitively. to them they suck at the game anyway so they don't really care if they get banned.

<3 Starcraft 2, that is THE single most competitive game I've ever had the pleasure of playing. My hands have nerve damage though, and my naga is busted (literally cannot play SC2 without it) so I set the game down before Heart of the Swarm was released. I really wasn't impressed with that expansion either. I made it to low Diamond and that's where I hit my plateau.
**** i didn't know how much people took that game seriously until i saw that south korea documentary. been having fun, still gotta learn all the shortcuts on the keyboard. love talking strategy with my opponents.

i like watching the older players play against the younger ones. it always looks like the younger ones are going to win then the older ones pull something that looks stupid but ends up being enough to break their opponents strategy

Just remember that consoles are actually just downsized versions of the PC. You actually cannot use aimbots and wall hacks on ps3. Oh, well, you could, but it seriously take so much effort that it's not worth trying. That's why there is a market for hacked consoles.
which means nothing when a game wants you to download a patched client every time you login.

Just, I think that's awesome. The enthusiasm for it and the support that players get over there is amazing to me. You tell someone in the US that you want to be a pro gamer, and they'll probably laugh at you. Over there? Pick a gaming house, work on your game. Granted, competition is pretty fierce so it's anything but easy, but the simple fact that it's POSSIBLE is what amazes me. Gaaah I want to play now, stupid hands, stupid mouse :(
i didn't know the military base had their own starcraft 2. it is a good way to learn logistics on the fly.
but those pro gamers are pretty much rockstars.
