Yea, not sure how that is going to work.
Maybe a tier system of payment depending on how many games you want to subscribe to?
Maybe one monthly payment for all three games plus they have micro-transactions?

Well you could easily still have that launcher, and only let you play Legion if you haven't payed. It would give incentive to free players to try out the other games, since they would be sitting there, EVERY time they logged into the game, just waiting for them to give it a try. They could even have links to the free trials, right there in the menu.

you misunderstood what was said on the stream he said you will be able to use your EVE online character across all 3 games this does not make Project Legion or Valkyrie pay to play. besides he said its a concept still being tinkered with don't jump to conclusions my friend |

Dust has already proven to be self-sufficient via boosters and consumable items so I don't ever see it being a subscription-based game once it goes into the PC.

Spoke with the dust 514 art team; they're trying things out but the work and tech is seperate from what eve is doing unfourtunately.
I also spoke with CCP Z on customization was a purchasable and he agrees completely it is sometihng needed.

I kind of hope for a mix, where like, colors would be a free thing, and then actual "attachments" or whatever, just aesthetic, would be for AUR. So, anyone could make a suit with corp colors or logos or whatever, but if they wanted to have a slightly different suit design, or thicker looking armor on their vehicle or, whatever, then they could pay for it.
Just a thought, I just want Logistics dropships back, and to not be bright ass yellow

Considering that it's going to be on the PC, I will not be surprised if it surpasses all of my expectations. The PC offers several advantages to CCP and for Legion.
1. No need to rely on a third party (Sony) to connect Legion to Eve Online therefore cutting out the middleman and expenses.
2. Easier to access the Singularity Test Server and the Tranquility Live Server at the same time without needing any third party (again Sony) to approve and charge for every update.
3. Updates can be done on the fly with very little to almost no delay if needed regardless of size and complexity. Eve Online is a perfect example.
4. Lag is reduced since a third party (once again, Sony) is not needed to facilitate the connection between Legion and Eve Online as both games will have direct access to the TQ Live Server.
5. A PC can outlast a console and allows for greater future proofing compared to a console.
Of course, this is all completely separate from gameplay which is an entirely different beast altogether.

I like the estimated time table for Legion because it gives me just enough time to get my **** in order and upgrade my rig, which I've been meaning to do for some time now. I was planning to do it for Star Citizen, but doing it a bit earlier for Legion suits me plenty fine.

I don't know or care what side of this discussion many of you are on. But if you're claiming that there's PROOF of your claims either way, SHARE YOUR PROOF.
So far, we've had multiple articles which suggest that Legion will be free-to-play, and precisely NONE which suggest otherwise, and there have been NO quotes in ANY of those articles which confirm either possibility. The fanfest confirms that CCP plan to use a single launcher which connects to the clients for EVE, Legion and Valkyrie, but that could easily have the EVE option prompt you for your sub when you try it, or simply be locked out when you're not subbed, without the other games having any requirement to pay for access.
So to put it simply, there is precisely NOTHING that most of us (including the CPM, who should have more info than most of us) can find which confirms whether Legion will be a sub or f2p game. If anyone has confirmation one way or the other, now would be a great time to share.

I'm kind of torn as far as the cost goes. Part of me really wants to move away from micro transactions and boosters, so to that end, I almost wouldn't mind a subscription fee if the game was actually polished and ran great. On the other hand, the F2P model clearly works, and I do enjoy me a good free game.
Plenty of time left to see where that ball lands, though if I had to bet, it would be on F2P
