So what if Dust isnt a Sandbox??? Keep it running!

General12912 Gallente Marine Corps 193	Posted - 2014.05.03 23:32:00 - [1] - Quote In the conerence, they basically admitted that Dust 514 is not a true sandbox and that Project Legion will be. all i have to say is this: Dust can and should keep running. it may not be a sandbox, but it still is an unusual FPS with wide customization options. i've accepted fora long time that Dust would never become what CCP visioned if it was on a console. but that doesnt matter. i play this game because it is, as i said above, an unusual FPS with wide customization options. In other words, hwre is how the four games could be divided: EVE is a game featuring the ability to do numerous things. explore, fight, ect. but it is only in space. EVE VR could be the game where you help EVE players fight in space be driving fighter-bomber things. smaller ships in other words Project Legion could be the game that is just like EVE, but on foot and in a direct action, non-numerical-based fighting way when you are fighting and exploring. Dust 514 could be the game where you only fight on the ground. you do not explore, its just a war-game. while i dont really like CoD, thats all that CoD actually is. same with Battlefield multiplayer. Obviously, our fights could still effect New Eden. perhaps Project Legion players could even join in on our fights if they happen to walk into a battlefiled that we are fighting on. Edit: And, since CCP promises we can carry our Dust characters over to Project Legion, perhaps we could share the inventories or assets of the characters between the two games. you could use Project Legion-only weapons on the Dust battlefield, and Dust-only weapons on Project Legion. DUST514 10 year road map was something they obviously couldn't have done on the ps3 with its many limitations if you think about they were laser focused on the ps3 up until 1.8 so they sorta delivered on that its been stated that they are looking into PS4 after the PC port but it is to early to tell its not scam i don't think anyone will be buying anymore things from CCP in regards to dust though CCP Rouge has said character transfers is most likely a go. to a certain extent. they cant change an entire games UI and skill tree and market place and items then give back the trillions of isk and millions of SP people have acquired over the years it would be illogical though CCP Rouge and the other devs plus the CPM wont leave all us mercs high and dry when it comes to transferring characters and data we'll get a refund in some way shape or form.

Because the post from Rouge in the sticky has pretty strong implications that the best we can hope for is minor balance tweaks and bug fixes, most of which are MONTHS overdue already.

That article makes clear that major development has ended. What they mean by 'development' is the occasional patch for balance etc. But essentially what we have now is the game in its 'finished' state.

Open your eyes.
