In the conerence, they basically admitted that Dust 514 is not a true sandbox and that Project Legion will be. all i have to say is this:
Dust can and should keep running. it may not be a sandbox, but it still is an unusual FPS with wide customization options. i've accepted fora long time that Dust would never become what CCP visioned if it was on a console. but that doesnt matter. i play this game because it is, as i said above, an unusual FPS with wide customization options.
In other words, hwre is how the four games could be divided:
EVE is a game featuring the ability to do numerous things. explore, fight, ect. but it is only in space.
EVE VR could be the game where you help EVE players fight in space be driving fighter-bomber things. smaller ships in other words
Project Legion could be the game that is just like EVE, but on foot and in a direct action, non-numerical-based fighting way when you are fighting and exploring.
Dust 514 could be the game where you only fight on the ground. you do not explore, its just a war-game. while i dont really like CoD, thats all that CoD actually is. same with Battlefield multiplayer. Obviously, our fights could still effect New Eden. perhaps Project Legion players could even join in on our fights if they happen to walk into a battlefiled that we are fighting on.
Edit: And, since CCP promises we can carry our Dust characters over to Project Legion, perhaps we could share the inventories or assets of the characters between the two games. you could use Project Legion-only weapons on the Dust battlefield, and Dust-only weapons on Project Legion.

how about you actually read. they said they would continue developing Dust dude. and even if they dont, im fine with that, as long as the major bugs and stuff are fixed. Its what they do in all the other shooters.

Google this "CCP says Dust 514 will continue development." the first result should be from Joystiq. read it. I've read it, I know they kinda said that. But have a look at Fanfest: every question Dust514-related have been avoided, always referring to Legion. You're getting nothing more than what you already have: a couple heavy weapons, and if you're lucky a couple new beta test for your bigger brothers.
