Thank you for the well written blog.
I just want to say, first and foremost, that I'm excited for Legion. It looks and sounds like what we were originally sold on, and it seems like the only logical step forward.
The issue, as you mention, was how they went about it. The complete lack of information regarding our DUST characters and Legion. That feeling of hopelessness that DUST as is, will never ever become much more than it is right now. I've obviously been fanning the flames a bit (what sig?) but at the same time I feel that it's deserved right now. I mean, I can't imagine how bad it must have felt to fly all the way out there for DUST, only to have to sit through that keynote.
I would definitely advise against biomassing if you intend to check out Legion though, just in case.

The above was confirmed at FF and especially on livestream minutes ago where CCP Praetorian regarding specific future updates on Dust he answered: " Uhhh we can always do perfomance fixes and uhhh I guess we can add in some more weapons and uhhh we'll probably do some bugfixes too". Translated that means "We don't care about Dust anymore, you won't see any significant progress anymore, now go buy some more boosters until Legion is out".
If they could just confirm that progress transfers to Legion, then at least players who intend to stick around for it could still benefit from those purchases.
But what about new players who come into this game thinking that it will last? Reading the description on PSN or the DUST site, simply assuming that the game will continue to be updated? It's that kind of stuff that really irks me, and puts a very bad taste in my mouth.
