this was a thread post, but I figured it deserves its own thread.
There are many new blueberries that are playing Dust 514. They are not a part of the forums and are unaware of what happened. Many of us here have poured a lot of money and free time into a game that we wanted to support. However the reality is very different. It's up to us to make sure the entire Dust community is aware of what happened. If CCP isn't going to notify the new players then that leaves us the unpleasant responsibility.
We should go on local chat and talk to as many people as possible on what happened. We'll have to do it in a calm manner, without getting angry or resorting to hyperbole. But we can't in good conscience let newcomers be tricked into spending real money until we hear from CCP.
If we prided ourselves on being the face of the Dust 514 community it's time we acted like that. Please, talk to your c.e.o.s, talk to your corpmates. Spend time on battle academy. Talk to the newberries. It's not enough to biomass, we have to also do what we can to make sure other players don't fall to the same mistaken belief we did.
CCP, you're not out of the loop yet. It is your responsibility to convince us that this is still a game worth investing in. So far I am not convinced.

Just make your name variations on "CCP Rouge Wedding" and stomp Academy while explaining the situation.

That's definitely the kicker. CCP is banking on this just blowing over, on the vets leaving so that new players can come in full of hope, and continue spending money.
It's underhanded at best, and since CCP clearly has no intention on slowing down their efforts to make sales on this officially dead game, it's up to us to warn people about it. If people still want to play, hey, that's on them. However, they should be fully informed before spending a dime on this game, and it's up to us to make that happen.
Don't just stop at local, or in game. If you have forums that you frequent that talk about dust, put it there. Facebook or tumblr pages? Spread the word? Youtube? Make a video. Get this information circulating, don't let it die to the forum banhammers
