Takahiro Kashuken and I have been having a laugh in IRC with others. We were discussing names for a mega-alliance in Legion, designed to troll CCP and the game without paying them a dime... trying to think up some new names.
CCP Rouge Wedding seems to be the best we've got!

Yes, I've been thinking that we former DUST players who are thinking of getting involved in Legion should aim to be like the Goons in Eve. Namely, our main aim is to ruin up the game for everyone else.

Fun idea, im definately never gonna spend rl money on Legion if CCP Rouge is in charge.
I am still looking forward to playing the game, but I wont care about the good of the game like I did with dust, they deliberately delayed the announcement for months to milk more money out of people (even tho they were warned by csm's and cpm's about blowback)
These are not the kinds of business practices I want to support.
I already cancelled two eve accounts that wont be opened again until ive "saved" twice as much as ive spent on Dust, this is my act of conscientious consumer, I dont really need more then 2 active accounts at the moment anyways. |

I support this (and similar entities), and would possibly join if I end up playing Legion. A corp/alliance of Dust mercs would just be nice in general. Annoying the hell out of everyone would be a plus, though.
Definitely wouldn't be able to use "CCP" in the name, but I think just "The Rouge Wedding" is good enough. |

Yeah, it is a whole 'nother ball game... softball.
This is in NO WAY meant to insult kb/m users, as opposed to the obviously inflammatory comment I've quoted.
But kb/m is an easier control scheme to use for a shooter than a controller.
There is a reason that kb/m and controller users aren't normally allowed to compete head-to-head in a shooter and that is because kb/m is the easier, more intuitive set of controls when the objective is "put cursor on the thing, provide input through the clicky bits to perform action on the thing you've placed the cursor over".
It's a definitive hardware advantage. Get that? Hardware advantage. Not "skill advantage".
Anyone with two working hands can learn to pilot a mouse and keyboard easily, in fact many people use them every day.
Controllers are the interface that requires constant practice and time to learn to use effectively, because utilizing only your thumbs to shift perspective and move things around isn't intuitive.
What I'm saying is, it requires far more practice to become proficient in a shooter with a controller than it does with a kb/m combo.
Whatever advantage you think you will have as a dedicated kb/m user will quickly be stripped away as console players switch to the far more intuitive set of controls.
That is, if there IS any advantage to start with, considering that again, most people this conversation applies to already use a kb/m in their day-to-day lives.
They aren't learning an entirely new control scheme, they're honing the skills they already posses with said control scheme in a new environment IF (big if) they haven't ever already played a shooter on a PC.
