CCP is skynet and we have known that for some time. Cold, calculated machine and it would have chosen this route every time. Legion will have most EVE players playing and some people will surely come from dust.
I will reveal a new spoiler for game of thrones unless I will be sent 1 million ISK every day.

It's a foolish step for a novice game developer who thinks itself better than Sony and the console market.
Looks like they're afraid to stop inbreeding in Iceland and expand their gene pool into the rest of the world.

This situation reminds me The War Z, with the difference that DUST actually lasted 2 years.

May be a logical step to make legion, but how will you folk play eve and legion and eve on the same pc and get meaningful time on either? Also don't make sense not relasing on next gen consoles they wanted new playerbases etc, also they are losing a formed starting community that would of been ecstatic had this been announced with player/ sp transfer, ps4 announcement or even just news on new dust content. Then people would of carried on and been saying "omg legion looks incredible see you there" instead they said dust is dust and here is legion. We hope to see our usual demographic there. |

at the end of day this communty barely makes a blip in wider gamming communy by the end of week all the rage will have burned out, those who biomassed will have moved on as they wont be able to post with no characters and those of us who understand games die all the freaking time will happly play dust till the end and then play legion.
legion will be far far being than dust will ever be it was the smart move
sucks for those who cant afford a PC, but you dont see me throwing a shift fit that i cant afford a xboxone and thus cant play titenfall.

The issue isn't that Legion will be replacing DUST. The issue is that CCP lied and fed us all false hope, knowing full well DUST was a dead project. They abused the trust of their customers in order to make some quick money to help fund Legion.
If they had been open and honest from the start people wouldn't be raging as they are now, but then of course they wouldn't of gotten nearly as much of our money.
I had faith and trust in CCP. They threw it all away in less than half an hour. |
