Q: How big you think the player base size is needed for Dust 514 to be sustainable so it can keep been developed?
The few isk Dust 514 makes .... probably not even inoff to pay the electricity bill for the servers,
CCP choice makes perfect sense,

lol, they are gonna make another half baked game ("another" even - as it's just Dust running on high settings as per the demonstrated footage) as would be expected coming from a Chinese game developer. Anyone ever heard of a good Chinese video game? Nothing comes to mind - China is lagging behind in this segment. You get what you pay for when it comes to outsourcing in the video game market.
Nothing to say, you are 100% right. |

The problem is things like:
Blue prints will be off market soon, buy all you can ; week later , oh bpo's are bad for economy we wanna remove them.
Sell a ton of boosters, week before fanfest.
Day before fanfest, announce the origin sales and sp, next day kill the game!
Their FUKINCROOKS END OF STORY!
They not killing the game, they want it to survive. Consoles are PC's at the end, so PC is the future of gaming. |

We're raging that it was planned well in advance and we were directly told DUST would be continuing while CCP was preparing to kill it.
We're raging that DUST could have moved to the new platform with the planned updates and content Legion is supposed to be getting, which had always been the plan. Instead, though, CCP are scrapping the game, leaving it to die slowly on an aging console, and pretending like they never promised to do anything for it that they're now promising (and probably failing to deliver again) for Legion.
We're raging that CCP actively promoted events which encouraged people to spend real money on the game, telling us it would be continuing for ten years or more, after that had already made the decision to abandon it.
Man, **** PS3, work harder 2 years, and then, when finally launch the ******* game, buy a 200 usd pc. |

Plug a damn controller if you are worry about that. A PS3 controller works even better in a pc than in the ps3 itself. |

So who's fault is it that it took a year beta and a year of release and they still don't have half of what was promised. Blame ccp fanboy
CCP fault. No argue on that. But the right choice is going to PC to fix it. You can't develope a game without isk. |

You killed Dust 514, now live with it. ^^this the current fanbase is about 3,000 players. Its peak was less than 7,000. For a free to play game relying on microtransactions. It was a flop from the day it released.
Legion day 1 = 500,000 new players throw Steam TM.

And dont you give me this "optimized for gaming" bullshit, I played games in 2006 in a greater resolution that "nex gen" consoles can pull off without shitting themselves.
This statement is only usually true after the aforementioned console is out for a year or two, but it's a valid point. Since Legion is being developed with UE 4, it shouldn't make a difference though. Epic's been telling everyone who will listen that PC and console games developed with the engine will scale and run equally well on PCs and Consoles.
Buy a PC, install steambox.
