Why would they port legion to PS4 when they already have a PS3 title? if they are discontinuing dust i would think it is CCP getting out of the console market. It would make sense to me if dust was ported to the ps4 after its polished on the ps3. If they abandon dust it would not make sense to me that they would move legion over to the ps4. To me it would a sign that they want to get some of the FPS market but have given up on the console market. |

Note anyone that says its not possible on Next Gen Consoles did not research that Next Generation Consoles are as strong as medium level Gaming PC. So unless the specs are through the roof, which the tech demo definitely did not show that good of specs. It should be possible, given how next Gen consoles are designed to be Developer Friendly to easily bridge the gap between PC games and consoles.
The question is... Will CCP be willing to bring it to Consoles after a few builds of Legion?
This way players will still be apart of the community after dust.
edit: Now with the statement with the specs, Don't get me wrong it look great but Compared to many other games visual levels for next gen its not bad at best. Even with Eve integration, Most of that is not issue's with the hardware comparability but issues with a market relevant to a sandbox shooter. PS4 has a lot of power to handle Legion. The PS4 will be irrelevant in about 3 years. So, I seriously doubt that CCP would wish to burden themselves again with having to funnel everything through a third party like Sony, especially for the short period that it might matter. What are you talking about my ps3 is 12 years old. and your saying consoles just dies after 3 years. you also can upgrade consules just like pc. LOL The PS3 hasn't even been out for 10 years. And you can't upgrade consoles. oops ment 9 years stil!! also systems can be upgraded with different hard drives, ex, I have a 120 gg ssdd. stationary harddrive if yeah haven't heard of that.
Considering a hard drive swap a console upgrade is fairly funny. You probably did see some marginal improvements... However you can't change anything else about the console. You cant change the graphics card, the ram or really anything that will truly matter when it comes to processing power. A great many people will never consider a hard drive swap to be a console upgrade. |

They're not bad numbers I'm sure, but they don't even approach PC. For F2P games there's no better place to be than PC, which is likely why they chose PC over PS4. DFC also backs this up. Steam FTW! |

The N64 RAM expansion says hi. But yeah these days console just seem like budget, limited PCs. I yearn for the old days when consoles were consoles, and not just bad PCs. You mean when console systems were made to actually work for decades not years? |
