We got the message we will only get bug fixes, maybe the heavy weapons (I heard that around the water cooler, so, tinfoil hat), we are working towards nothing. I only played because I had hope, as many of you did. That hope is gone, and any faith we had in CCP is gone for how they told us.

You really do not get it. It is not about legion coming out. If anything most of these players would be happy to coexist with both games. It is the fact that CCP no longer plans to develop dust. The game you played yesterday is still the same game today and that is all it will ever be. Players have been promised a 10 year plan. They have been lied to by devs for months. When asked by Zatara in live stream today all they can do is nervously twiddle their thumbs and try to dodge questions.
Dust 514 will continue with a skeleton dev team where you will only see minor balancing and sp events.
Also alot of players are pissed that they shoved sp events down our throats, were hyped up for fanfest and told to go join in the festivities only to be told that they would be doing this. We also found out that they stopped actively working on dust after 1.8 and have been spending all our money on a different game. It would not be like this if the community still had hope for this game and thought the developers still care about it.
I hope that I have given you a little insight.

Exactly. This announcement is only enough to keep me from biomassing (which I wasn't doing anyway) and little more. It's clearly a "oh sh!t" backpedal. CCP logibro already said yesterday they werent sure if they could do it.
