I stopped reading there.
That's not evidence, that's wild conjecture based on an iffy premise. They have already stated that they're going to be using assets from Dust 514. They're not creating a game from scratch, they're scavenging from an already existing project and building anew. Look how quickly they managed to whip up that prototype. The game'll be playable within the year, maybe a year and a half.

The thing is (as said in another post) some of us are addicted to it. I honestly hate being protostomped but I must be a glutton for punishment because I keep going into the same battles against the same people. I've been playing on and off for 2 years, so, the magic has worn off lol. I used to play so religiously, and obviously, I was / am pretty vocal on the forums. I even made my first ever youtube channel for this game, wrote fan fiction, helped out players etc etc. It just feels like there's no point now until Legion, and that my time, energy, and hopefully soon to be money, will be better spent on other games.
Not to mention the whole "buy aurum and packs for our special events so you can try out the new content" right before they pulled the bait and switch, and told us there won't be anymore new content.
The only time I saw money grubbing as underhanded as that was in War Z. |

I think i understand why CCP has made these decisions. I still think they stink but.. Designing for a PC game is much easier to test and play test. They have a test server they already could use. This is not the case with a console game. They haven't found a good way to realistically play test on a semi large scale to see just how broken things are before releasing to the GP. Not being able to properly test means they contantly have to play a game of releasing and patching and hotfixing. This means a lot of effort is spend just on correcting things that have been released rather than new content. Consoles are limited. Most aspects of a console can not be upgraded. Apparently CCP stinks at coding because only with dust do i have issues with my consoles hard freezing never happens with other games i play even ones that are on the hard drive.
This all being said i think its a mistake to abandon the console marketshare. They could expand greatly if the game wasn't so flawed and especially if they didnt call this a full release when they did. |

They had to literraly remake dust half way through due to melting PS3's. Plus they have a lot of the balance down currently.
But I see what you mean; we won't be playing Legion for at least a year.

Bugfixes! I doubt it... That would take more doing than adding more content, lol. |

I however, will be playing dust till the finish. I started relatively early and I'm not going to quit because CCP is doing something right. it hasnt even been a day and people here are just looking for answers... prick. What I've been seeing was mostly whining about Legion. I've only seen a handful of people who actual asked questions. The majority are making channels about how CCP ****** up blah blah blah. Prick.

Jonny D Buelle wrote:It's not coming out soon. It's not coming out for a couple years at least. And here's evidence using the history of Dust 514.
Dust 514 was announced on August 18, 2009. They showed a little bit of prototype gameplay, just like they did with Legion during the keynote today
In 2010, CCP updated EVE with the Tyrannis expansion, which allowed them to interact with planets.
E3 2011, CCP announced that Dust 514 will be PS3 (chosen over Xbox 360 due to the fact that Sony would allow them to connect to Tranquility where Xbox Live would not)
Now, It wasn't until 2 years AFTER E3 2011 that Dust 514 went into Open beta (January 10, 2013). That is also the day when EVE online and Dust 514 first got linked together.
As my first sentenced said:
Legion isn't coming for a while given the history of Dust 514. It will be VERY surprising if it came out within the next two years.
So that being said, stop giving away your ISK, and enjoy Dust. Legion IS the future, but a distant future at that. legion will be faster, because they already have 3d assets like dropsuits, weapons, vehicles, sound, HUD etc.
I support BPO removal;
RDV to take your vehicles back;
and racial weapons on starter fits
