It's not coming out soon. It's not coming out for a couple years at least. And here's evidence using the history of Dust 514.
Dust 514 was announced on August 18, 2009. They showed a little bit of prototype gameplay, just like they did with Legion during the keynote today
In 2010, CCP updated EVE with the Tyrannis expansion, which allowed them to interact with planets.
E3 2011, CCP announced that Dust 514 will be PS3 (chosen over Xbox 360 due to the fact that Sony would allow them to connect to Tranquility where Xbox Live would not)
Now, It wasn't until 2 years AFTER E3 2011 that Dust 514 went into Open beta (January 10, 2013). That is also the day when EVE online and Dust 514 first got linked together.
As my first sentenced said:
Legion isn't coming for a while given the history of Dust 514. It will be VERY surprising if it came out within the next two years.
So that being said, stop giving away your ISK, and enjoy Dust. Legion IS the future, but a distant future at that.

I've stated my point. If you guys want to QQ about them moving forward then so be it. Flame me if you want.
I am aware that they won't be doing any meaningful updates, however that doesn't mean Dust is dead.
As for people not wanting to play the same game over and over. Why does COD sell so well? It's just the same **** different title.

So that being said, stop giving away your ISK, and enjoy Dust. Legion IS the future, but a distant future at that. Except Legion is being built on the foundation of Dust... so whatever they had to overcome with Dust they have already done before. You can expect legion within 1-2 years.
Finally someone who actually is intelligent and not constantly flaming and QQing.
I will argue this though. They will be doing a complete overhaul on what Dust used to be (according to the Dust 514 Progression) which means complete changes to the entire game: Introducing roles; Common, Uncommon, Rare weapon system; salvaging; PVE.
Unless they want a repeat of Dust 514, these will need to be tested and retested as well as balanced completely before they could think about coming out with a beta. I will agree 1-2 years for the BETA but not the full release.

Like I said to blackstar, I can see the beta in a year or two, but not a full release.

You are likely correct. The problem is CCP said nothing about Dust514 at the Dust514 keynote. Legion is clearly their focus, & I'm sure I will enjoy it. But we weren't watching to hear about Legion, we want to know about Dust514. Especially since Legion won't be coming anytime soon. CCP could have avoided all of this by simply talking about Dust514 at the freaking Dust514 keynote, It's absolutely upsurd.
Well I do agree it was a HUGE oversite on their part to announce Legion during the Keynote. They could of waited for another time.
I just posted this to let people know NOT to give away all their ISK. I've seen alot of posts today about players giving away all their ISKs and **** when the game will carry on for a bit longer still.

But I do see where you are coming from. The thing is (as said in another post) some of us are addicted to it. I honestly hate being protostomped but I must be a glutton for punishment because I keep going into the same battles against the same people.
