I applied to a position at CCP yes. I did not get hired.
I am now glad they did not hire me. I am a good programmer and I could have fixed many things but.... I cannot fix stupid.

You know a while back, about a year ago the community screamed at ccp to hire me. literally dozens of posters telling ccp to hire me instead of punish me for programming a script to get myself 44k likes in less than 3 minutes. "leave ripper alone!" "hire him!" "look at the last 10 pages ccp! hire this guy!"
I never got punished and I was left alone thanks to community support but CCP should have listened completely instead of half assing it as usual.

Yea I learned shortly before hand. It was pointless to say anything, most players who bought plane tickets were already there.

Not only that but I have a degree in game design. I know programming. I have experience creating 3d models aswell. my knowledge is very well rounded and I could have intense conversations with devs without them having to dumb down any of the technical details for me. Hell I could have even volunteers to help them scan code for bugs.
a dev to dev/player conversation is much better than a simple dev to player conversation. Even after college I still read many books about game design and I have a prototype fps I build in college!
no joke... I loved this game and I was passionate about it. I really feel like I could have helped the game more if I was given the chance.

Because I do not plan on playing again. Ever. Screw this. I cannot support them anymore as a player. I loved dust probably moreso than many players here. and as a programmer I would take regular coding breaks and visit the forums to clear my mind and refresh. I got to know so many mercs and made so many friends and Ioved it but no more.

I understand that but they are diverting dust resources to do this shafting alot of players.
It would have been a perfect world if they still developed actively for dust. While hiring another team to create legion. They should have still tried to fix the game instead of giving up. The game is still the same game as it was yesterday and you know what? that is all it will ever be. You can no longer say "it will get better". Hope for dust is dead.
