the test server for Dust, nothing more. For Dust to gain a test server, even if it is on PC to circumvent Sony's restrictions, would be a major step forward for Dust in getting stuff tested and ready for actual deployment. It would give players a way to test everything in the game at all 5 skills and make the talk of SP respecs mostly a thing of the past. Players would be able to make truly informed decisions as well as help impact the future of the game by giving bulk data to the devs instead of a bunch of carebear devs deciding what happens in the game based on whos doing best in the office with a specific weapon (anybody remember this?).
I have never been a "Dust is doomed" type person, but CCP, seriously, if you continue down your planned path you will lose everything that is Dust and "Project Legion." Why would any of the players from your current Dust player base continue to play or switch to playing Legion after this garbage? What is the point? Who is to say you wont just do it again with Legion? You need to seriously reconsider your plans for the future of this game.
You think Burn Jita was bad? Get ready for hell, cause the repercussions of this decision have the potential to bring even the well established EVE to its knees.

So being able to more rapidly push out updates and content with minimal bugs due to players testing it themselves instead of incompetent scrub devs is worthless? You are defining stupidity as we speak.

good luck with CCP Shanghai with the PC game.
same developers thus same shiat will repeat. it will be a game with fail decisions every patch, a game full of bugs where you are waiting months for a fix and additionally to that you will have bot & hack users because PC RET/\RDRACE.
and after getting all the money they will move on to the next project. |
