Seriously teared up man.
Being embarrassed like that with your family.
CCP should be paying for Dust players airfare. Especially this guy.
Completely disgusting on CCP. They didn't want to leak anything that could hurt them financially, but screw you and your family for coming out there.
Seriously feels bad man.
Get this published by gaming website and toss it around to bloggers. CCP should get burned for this kind of treatment of its fans.
Front page till DUST forums are axed.
We can pickle that.

I've been sending this story to game blogs and video game e-zines.
Most sites have a place where you can contact the editor with a story so any site you can think of go for it.
It's normally under the "contact us" list at the very bottom of the main page.
We can pickle that.

You didn't read any of that...did you?
We paid real money based on things that CCP told us were happening. They continued to take money, even having an aurum "origin" suit based event while knowing Dust was doomed.
This guy flew his family to ******* Iceland because he was such a big fan. Then the keynote speech, for the game he had bought plane tickets to another country for, was about ANOTHER GAME!
Don't even try to troll you idiot. It wasn't a videogame when he took his family to Iceland. It was being a grateful fan and finding out that the people you're a fan of were a bunch of cretins.
They didn't stop taking money when they knew Dust was over. They held an event to get even more! CCP boycott for life.

Go read any info on News for EVE Legion.
Go to the comments.
Did CCP hire Rouge or is he an assassin sent by EA to destroy CCP?
I can't tell.

Point two: The wife.
If there is a woman who would allow her man to live vicariously through a crappy FPS, still love him, and even empathize with his tribulations as his game goes sideways, than such a man is a very lucky bastard indeed.
...just my 2 isk.
You should link a claim like that.
Also who cares.
Jean-Charles Gaudechon a.k.a. CCP Douche spit in the entire Dust communities face with the Legion announcement.
John Chuck Douchetron knew what would happen. He knew there would be a backlash and yet chose this way to go about it. To steamroll it in and wait for the Dust to settle.
Terrible Exec made a terrible decision and should be fired.
@CCP Rouge: You don't sh*t where you eat. Idiot.

I really enjoyed being able to be a part of this from the ground up as a beta player and all. Sure the game had its faults, but they were being fixed and with the players help, my help, we shaped it into something solid. I felt like I was part of a strange family, sure a digital one, but family.
Then I hear about this Fanfest and CCP really pushing DUST players to come up to Iceland and enjoy the party on top of the world. A party with the rest of the family and to meet EVE players as well as other DUST players. I am a family man and really wanted my family to experience the CCP and EVE family. We flew up here to join in on the Fanfest activities. My wife and little boy. Hopefully will try to get him another sibling to pick on later this year! (still trying)
At first things were great. It was interesting to walk around and introduce yourself as a DUST only player and everyone was so friendly. I meet a ton of people. Things were great. Finally, after all the other stuff we get to the DUST presentation. For a moment I felt special. This was a presentation about me and the rest of my friends who play DUST. A presentation for us and to become closer to the rest of this family here at CCP and with EVE. Everyone around me knew I was a DUST only player it seemed.
Never in all my life have I been this utterly embarrassed to be somewhere. To really feel executed on the spot and all eyes on you. I felt like the biggest fool in the universe. My wife just covered her mouth and looked at me with pity. It felt as if everyone was looking at me for a reaction.
Every single moment after that it seemed like my family and I had leprosy. People steered clear and ended conversations as fast as possible and vanished. I just don't know how else to explain it. I have never in all my life felt this betrayed and publicly humiliated.
I wish I never came up here.
Requesting sticky. This should stay on the front page.
