I'm one of those people.
I bought a PS3 for DUST.
DUST is dead.
But the PS3 has several great games exclusive to it that I picked up while waiting for DUST to blossom into the glorious New Eden shooter I always hoped it would be, but now know it never will.
I don't feel too bad about the console purchase in the end. SONY has gained my loyalty as a customer and business in the future. CCP... well, CCP hasn't.
So while there were bad times, they weren't all bad! |

I too found that DUST was the tipping point to buy a PS3 however dont worry there is still MGS 4 and GT 5 that are both totally awesome games. |

At the very least the people who bought a PS3 have access to other fun games so its not a total waste of a purchase

Im one of those, but I had a shitload of fun with Dust, and I discovered the Soul's games, still pissed, CCP needs to get rid of Rouge, he is a stereotypical corporate ****tard, probably Sabre aswell, he is supremely clueless. They ignored all warnings to not do this at FF. |

I got a PS3 of my own to play Dust only a few months ago (was using my roommates before that). Sucks but I'm glad CCP made the decision to go to PC.

I even did my best to spread the word about DUST through my stream and a handful+ of people ended up buying a ps3 simply for wanting to play DUST themselves. If I was a South Korean the shame would have been too much to carry. I cant even find the words to even try to describe how them viewers feel, let alone myself. But I surely had a feeling it would come to this hence my biomass. Next up is biomassing my EVE character who has maximized Planetary Interaction skill. I was so set for the future of having the best of both worlds. But the dream was scammed. |

However, despite crippling disappointment with CCP.
I don't really care about the PS3 because if not for Dust, I wouldn't have had all the quality gaming hours with my girlfriend on littlebig planet. Nor would I have soiled my pants playing Dead Space 2 nor would I have shed a thoughtful tear at the end of Last Of Us.
The PS3 doesn't just play dust. I won't be throwing mine out a window. Its also a handy Bluray player.
People have said a lot of angry things in the last few hours. IMHO Its not really anger, I think everyone is just really disappointed with the way CCP handled/communicated this. I doubt they did it deliberately, and I'm sure our reaction surprised them.
Unfortunately, most gamers are reactionary, and in a saturated market of really good games its likely today was the day Dust was admitted to the hospice, so that it might have a comfortable passing.

But PS3 is cheaper than average PC gaming video card, and have blue ray too.
It is ironic that in the day all we expect to hear - now you'll have PvE, they say - No, you'll not have PvE on Dust 514, you'll have it on Projec Legion. And we move significant effort from Dust to Legion.
I personally looking forward for project legion. But it is not right. If you remember how much they promise. Just watch the 2013 dust keynote..........

Ok now that is one of the ***** im actually mad about, they didn't give any heads up to the people buying this one console just for one game and now its like, Well you can go back on pc, That ps3 is going to sit its little ass in the corner picking up DUST(I just had to put this in lol) Wasted money is never good money. I'm just lucky that i just so happen to have had a ps3 by the time i heard of dust and that even though i won't be playing dust i can say i didn't waste money, I have other games to play(Dark souls) |

Metal gear solid 4... I played that game an unhealthy amount of hours. It's still superior to many games that come out now too! Absolutely no bugs, great gameplay, actual challenge, fun to play again! One of my favorite games all in all.
