Sadly, there is no monument to shoot in Dust. I haven't played in several months, as I made the move to Ps4 and can't be bothered to plug the Ps3 back in. I simply grew tired of all the SoonGäó, and poorly thought out updates. But, the supposed Dust 514 Keynote absolutely takes the cake. CCP basically spit in every Dust player's face. |

I'd like to find you on PS4, I'm going to pick one up this weekend.

Not a whole lot to play on the Ps4 as of yet, but at least CCP isn't there to disappoint us. |

CCP realized that Dust 514, as is, would take far more work than they could have foreseen in order to bring up to past promises. We'd have been in SoonTM for years. Just like Square did with XIV, it's easier to placate the current players while rebuilding the game from the ground up. It worked wonders for Square, CCP is probably hoping for a second strike of lightning with it's attempt. I'm looking forward to it. Sure, if they suddenly change the account dynamic I might change my mind but mind you Dust 514 hasn't exactly been raking it in. Lets see where the road takes us, reserve judgement for then.
I have no concern with obsolescence. Everyone told CCP that they were building a game on a dying console. My irritation is with the Keynote. How does a company invite loyal Dust 514 players out to Iceland and drop that kind of keynote? Eve players had multiple dev blogs detailing industry changes leading up to Fanfest. What did Dust players have? Promises of a fantastic announcement... a bold faced lie at worse... at best, the most incompetent PR team in history. I can't help but be reminded... Ali |
