To the best of my knowledge, the grilling session at fanfest hasn't happened yet (please correct me if i'm wrong, or give me the stream time so i can watch it) so this is just conjecture, but.....
There are still Dust assets out there that were removed, or never installed, as well as game architecture that could be developed still. Given that we probably won't see Legion for a year or so, do you think Shanghai will devote resources to give us:
*The vehicles and modules that were removed
*The map features that were developed
*Drones in some capacity, and due to their being Bots in the Legion gameplay reveal, limited PvE?
*Player Market
I'm 90% sure they were fighting Bots, unless Rouge's reference to the Tank being controlled by a "dumb" guy, was really just him insulting one of the Devs...
So yeah, to clarify: If Dust doesn't hemorrhage an irreplaceable amount of players, and if it still has at least 12 months to live, will CCP still try?
Finally an apology: I've said some pretty nasty things about the ability of the Devs assigned to Dust. Sorry to all 2 of you, obviously, I had no idea that you were trying to keep the game alive all by yourselves.

You can expect queue times up to an hour for starters.

Just let go man, it will be easier like this.
Spend your isk on prototypes. Make your last stand on the battlefield and fight till you have no isk!

This is a reasonable response and I think a well thought out one. We don't kow when Legion will be here - so the question of the day should be, "What happens to Dust in the interim?"

I always fight until i have no Isk... As a result, I have no Isk. 
I think it will take time for the news to trickle down to the non-forum players, so for a while at least there won't seem to be a difference in numbers at least.

All the devs are now working on Legion! A game nobody but a few will even play.

I did, and i also saw the chat feed. Dust isn't being shut down immediately, they still have a (small) team that will continue to work on it to the bitter end.

Sorry but the game is solid and very fnished. At least if you read the interviews all over the gaming sites today... They consider it done. |
