Dust 514 is still relevant. Because obviously CCP wasn't able to call the new game "Dust 514 - Legion" because they have a deal with Sony going regarding Dust 514.
That's why it is a "new game" and "seperate".

You misunderstand me.
I meant "DUST 514 is a dead man walking", not that Legion would ever want the mark of DUST on its name.
So since the game with the name "DUST 514" is dying, we would like some closure and learn what was so special about that name. The show has been canceled, there will be no more new episodes (though you can watch re-runs for another year or two maybe), so let us in on the secret. We've earned it by struggling through the crappy builds for two years. |

Why the hell would they want to call it "Dust 514 - Legion"? The re-branding is pretty obvious here.
All three of these games share a universe:
EVE Online
EVE Valkyrie
DUST 514
but wait... one of these things is not like the others. How can we better convey that these three games share a universe?
How about:
EVE Online
EVE Valkyrie
EVE Legion

Could be an epic troll, but I believe they actually had some lore behind it. It was in the book and in-game fiction way back when they thought the game might work on the PS3.
I suppose we will never know. |
