I understand that EVE Online is a PC game and that's where Dust should of been to begin with, but it's too late. You made Dust on PS3. You received a fan base that showed their devotion with time and money. Now you are abandoning them. Yes, abandoning them. You are telling them if that want to continue to play the original vision, they have to pay $1000+ for a gaming PC, one that they would likely only get because of Dust. That is not reasonable, that is abandonment.
CCP, if you have any tact left, you would appreciate what this community has done for you and start work on Legion for PS4 right now. Yeah it may be harder on the team, you may need to hire more people, it may make development a little slower. But what's the rush? A PS4 is only $400 and is likely a platform many Dusters would get anyways because of beloved franchises. You start work on PS4, you are giving the player base a reasonable point of entry into the future of Dust's vision. You are not abandoning them.
The longer you wait, the more you of the community you lose and have failed. CCP, do what is right. Don't start work on a PS4 version later, start work on a PS4 version now - if out of nothing than respect for your fans who dedicated their time and money to you. CCP, you are suppose to be the prime example of gaming as a service. Now it's your turn to make the hard choice but the right choice. Provide a service to your fans. Don't abandon them. Start work on PS4 Legion now.

I applaud your post Aero. You summed up exactly what many others and myself think. I wouldn't even care so much if they were going to continue working on Dust and move it over to the PS4 after a time, but now there's no reason or way for me to basically play it at all anymore. I guarantee this version will be gone in a year and half or less.
Now a very angry and Bitter Vet. CCP, you have further solidified my views that corporations are corrupt POS's.

If you read the dev blog about legion. rouge says they need to develop for the PC first. either way who cares? Sticking with a company after they do this to their clients is foolish. My only regret is i wont be here for the scrapping of legion.

Depends.
Where I live, a PC with, say, a GTX 670, a Core I5 and 8GB of RAM would cost you 950$~.
A PS4? 500$~.

I did read the dev blog. That's why I said make the tough choice, but the right choice. It may slow development done a little, but what's the rush? Support the guys who kept this vision alive for you.

PS4 isn't enough at this point Aero, they're going to not give us any of the **** they promised for Dust 514, call it a game "In flight" after bullshitting us with 10 year road maps and laser focus on PS3. **** them! They used us as Beta testers while calling this game released and all our progression is not going to mean anything in Legion.

As this eurogamer article states:

I also want this to be available on the PS4 on the same release dates as the PC!
CCP, DO NOT forget this community and what it has done for this game. Without this community, Legion would not have been possible in the way your present it today.

Upon further reflection I have come to the conclusion that is not ccp itself that betrayed us. Given the past of ccp in sticking with the game they made.
No ccp Rouge is the culprit here. And possibly whomever gave him control. But what can you expect from a guy that was in activision. They **** on their customers every chance they get.

Ironically if the Dust Keynote (absent Dust) had been that this is Eve Legion on the PS4 and we were porting your toons across you would have heard a lot of celebrations on the forums instead of what they got.

Doesn't matter much, honestly. The community here is tiny. Only a small percentage will go over to the PC any way. They are starting over.

$600 machine, right there. Extremely capable. You could, for $120 more, put in a 280x and have a ball.
Whenever Legion comes out officially you can change out the older stuff for the newer stuff for the same price. It's lower than 600 without the disc drive. PC's are cheap. Stop acting like it's insanely expensive.

I hate playing on Pc (Exept for some games like Age of Empire or League of Legend).
PC : Lot of hacks, which are easier on a game like this (Even more since he's F2P), half of the fan base LOST.
Ps4 would be much easier for everyone.
The F2P on PS4 don't need to pay the PS+ to play online. |

Really because mine cost a grand a year or two ago and I would probably have to upgrade it to play legion. Oh and I salvaged parts from my old computer to build it. |

That doesn't make, or shouldn't make this player base any less valuable, more so even.
We're the idiots of stuck with them for two years, supported their developmental processes with our money and copious quantities of it in some cases, who suggested, discussed, looked for bugs, and gave feed back.
The one who game the a community to develop the game for in the first place.
They are of course going ahead with this development anyway so there is not much that can be done, and I doubt they will bother to put the resources into porting to the PS4.......
Damn atrocious treatment of the current community, and a reprehensible display as developers.
