Its just some guys realizing that they should have spent more time with their families and being creative over the last year, instead of playing a game for an unreasonable amount of time and spending an unreasonable amount of money on it. But it would have been getting to them eventually anyway. Sooner or later it would have. Come on, all we are asking is for some honesty and some respect. The least they could have been was honest. You don't string people along only to screw them in the end. That is what con artists do!!! EA did it with FIFA 14 - changing the whole game with updates and now CCP just said, "Hey, F*ck you for playing. Sure we will stick around laser focused just give us some time and money, trussssst ussss." (fork tongued) Yeah, I agree the (in retrospective) false promises are what would grind my gears too. Anything else is not. But look at the game. In its state it cant be profitable and get a serious player base. So smoothly transition it into something better. If this is the way they choose to, its their vision, even if its a platform transition, its their right to do. They just jump scared us with the bold decision to share it already. There is no contract that says: Guys this game will be here forever.
if dust was ending and being transitioned into another console game I wouldn't care in the least even if it was available to play on the pc as well.
mostly everyone knew dust would not remain on the ps3 forever, what's completely unreasonable is making two games and abandoning this one and all progress made in it.
I know it's too early to say if that will be the case as they haven't even began production on legion officially, but to feed us the line that they will keep dust up and keep working on dust while legion becomes a twisted unrecognizable version of what we had hoped for dust to become, it's just a knife in the back of everyone who ever had any faith in dust and ccp.
we know for sure now that dust will never become what we were told it would become, it can't even reach a sliver of what we were originally told it would be, as of now it can't be called anything less then a failure. |
