out of interest how far along are they with legion? all I've seen so far is a pretty demo and a couple of french devs giving vague "i don't know" responses to most the questions. so why announce legion today if its two years before they have anything they can show us? |

Managed to watch some of the recent streams, and I'm super confused with CCP. Were they talking about Dust 514 during these presentations or EVE: Legion? I can't tell.

I should have made the educated guess that while I was spwnding money to support a PS3 game that it would be used for the next big thing.

But you have to remember, a lot of the Dust community are ps3 owners who don't own gaming pcs. So you're losing a great portion of the Dust community by switching to Legion, guessing CCP is hoping the Eve Community might be able to fill in the lost gaps. Real nice how they said how the community got together and achieved beyond expectations with the million clone challenge, then goes on to say, we're ditching you guys for a pc game. You bring a guy up, just to shoot him down.

CCP has lied ( no, CCP, I will not soften or blunt the reality) to us regarding what we could expect from the future of dust and regarding the value of our monetary investment in theat game's development.
What is more - they are still deceiving us. They know a GREAT deal about details that will effect this entire playerbase and you can fully expect more disinformation and lack of honest feedback from this company.

So essentially, you're a coward, and you valued your position of pretend internet power/prestige and your vacation to Iceland more than your own dignity and the feelings of the playerbase you supposedly represent.
I personally would have broken the NDA to warn people not to buy anything for a game that was getting thrown in the trash - the CPM told everyone things were fine and encouraged us to keep playing, keep spending. The very least you all could have done would be to resign in a show of solidarity in protest, without violating the NDA at all, and that would have been enough for many of us to know something very bad was happening behind the scenes.
Instead, you towed the company line. And for what? You got a trip to Iceland? You going to be CPM on EVE: Legion even though none of you wanted to be CPM anymore, right? I guess that meant you didn't want to be CPM for Dust, since you knew what was going to happen to it, and knew there was no point.
All of you should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves, even more than CCP itself. At least they're in it for the money. You're just lapdogs doing what your master tells you for whatever bone they decide to throw you every once in a while. |
