1: DUST514 will be getting a much needed overhaul and will possibly coming to PS4 in the future
2: Instead of leaving DUST514 to fail on an obsolete console with only a very limited player base that was most likely to declined drastically over the years they took the next logically step, bringing it to a console where it can flourish, gather players, and take the large steps closer to becoming the game we all saw it becoming
3: can you honestly say you saw DUST514 going anywhere but down on the ps3? yes there was a very loyal fan-base but a very small one at that.
4: our characters are likely to be transferred with at least some of the SP earned
there are many other positives if you'd use your mind and think instead of pointlessly ranting on about something we all feel the same way about you'd see that moving to PC was pretty much the only logical step to go. yes they could have moved it to ps4 but if they had done that whats to say the ps4 wont take the place of the ps3 while everyone waits or owns a ps5? (or whatever they'll name it ) atleast on PC they are pretty much guaranteed stable ground to set there game on and evolve upon it since PC's dont change but simply get upgraded with new parts.

And if you look at new games like witcher 3, the choices you made in witcher 2 will affect your interactions in the new game, shall we also add dragon age 2 used dragon age 1. They are even considering for dragon age 3. Next, lemon law reimburses cars that fail. Dust will end when CCP agreement with sony expires and they won't pay for server usage. Legion will be released shortly into q1 or q2 next year. So what do you have to say?!? Owned.
i have to say you both are comparing two different levels of games built by two different companies with two different ideals. |

You're a terrible troll. You can read...right? We were lied to. They held events pushing for money. They called the Legion keynote speeches "Dust keynotes". Laser focused on PS3, 10 year plan, PVE feedback, player market feedback. All of it b.s. They haven't made any attempt to apologize for leading us on so they could keep their filthy mits in our pockets. You are either a CCP alt or a complete moron...probably both.
I'll put it this way. Dust Keynote was in a way a dust keynote.\ iforming all the players that dust is on a track to possibly be replaced by Project Legion which in turn is essentially dust but on PC? understand"?
the time spent after saying "laser focused" was spent "laser focused" up until 1.8 so they delivered on that to an extent.
okay i do admit the whole 10 years thing but come one can anyone honestly say they saw dust on ps3 lasting 10 years  you had to be blind to believe that.
PvE was a concept that was supposed to be on ps3 yes but do you think a half ass'd PvE experience would have passed over well with the community? it would have been mediocre at best due to the ps3 limitations.
Player market i can only say would have most likely been either exploited by the elitists or broken in general
i\again if you think about it DUST514 never had Solid ground to go through with all the things they promised due to limitations by ps3 at least on PC they will be able to focus more on doing all those things without the limitations by SOE and the ps3. please don't come at me with the whole ps4 thing because i just typed out the same explanation 3 times about how the ps4 was an valid option but not a logical option considering long term. |

onto the first one i'm retrospect Project Legion and DUST514 are the exact same game only DUST514 can be considered a beta test of Project Legion. onto the third. i answered that in another comment on the post.
the fourth one. our Characters will be transfers in regards to the things they have skill points, isk, assests etc etc thats the part they are working on and now that i think about the most we'll get is a percent of our SP because coming into a new game with trillions of isk andmillions of SP as some player have aquired over the years would be game breaking for the NPE and the game as a whole. |

Link? Because I've read the whole thread and don't see it anywhere.
though ps4 is a concept they are looking toward as they have said think about it this way who's to say in the coming years ps4 wont become ps3 while people wait or own a ps5?(or whatever they'll call it)
at least on PC they can set themselves up and work on the vision they promised us on ps3 with little to no restrictions and eventually port it to ps4. since PCs dont get replaced by another gen only upgraded with different parts the survivability rate on PC is much higher than on ps4 thus one of the possible reasons they chose PC over ps4 another reason being they aren't restricted by SOE in any way

What makes you think the CPM had anything to do with player transfers between games? Just curious.
because they represent the community. do you think they'd have something like this told to them without a thought about how use mercs who've invested years into this game just to have it all deleted would feel? do you think they wouldn't bring that to CCP's attention? |
