Thanks CCP. All the real world players don't have the money for fancy PCs. Plus console gamers are a better community. Well my ass hurts just like almost everyone else that plays this game. You could of at least used some lube.

I figured a PS4 announcement for somtime before the end of the year. I really never even gave thought to this. Literally cannot believe they are gonna do this. Whos stupid idea was this. I want to smash my non game playing capable cpu right into that French guys face.

I have a really nice gaming PC.
Playing an FPS on a PC is always a bit of a mess because the super competitive can't resist the urge to hack.
FPS and console work so well because of the much higher hurdles to hacking the game keeping some form of competitive equality.
I tolerated the relative crappiness of dust on PS3. I wouldn't play a CCP mess of an FPS on PC. They can't handle server stability in Eve, where there is so much of a lesser focus on twitch gaming.

really? I can get a ps4 for 400$
the laptop I bought in 2009 for gaming was 1200$ and cant run recent games very well, some not at all... if I were to get a gaming PC today to run games coming out in the next couple years I would spend around 4000$..... oh and then I still need to buy the games.... yep so much cheaper on PC.....
this game makes me sad....

An off the shelf Dell PC, for the same price as a PS, will run 99% of todays games. There are these cool options in every PC game to tweak the graphics!

Not to menion we all spent money on this game. Money that some of us don't get from our mommies and daddies. We put time building corps and communities. We spent time with our friends. Lots of us the ppl I play with don't have cash for CPUs that can play LEGION.

Not with a display and all the input devices.
You can upgrade an existing PC for that price.
But you will also be buying a new video card in 12 months if you want to maintain good framerates in new games.
Now, if you had said 600, I would have been right there with you. But that is 50% higher than a PS4, so it sort of blows your argument up.

you cant. you wont reach the same amount of processing power on a pc as you can on the ps4 for the same amount of bucks.
first, console games are focused for only a single hardware
second, the current console architecture is different from the regular PC, the APU has direct access to graphical/computing units and the faster RAM. on the PC you are bottlenecked by the front side bus that is responsible to transfer data between the peripherals. no matter how fast your PC is, you lose alot of horsepower due to the FSB.
third, the framework of the consoles is specialized.
the only advantage the PC for 400 bucks has is that it can also do other things too.
I also wish you fun with buying a new GPU each year to keep up with the developers pushing over the limits, have fun with the people that have the knowledge to modify the games to cheat and have fun with monthly subscription.
in short you have no clue. |

you assume everyone knows how to build a pc.... I don't... and I know people who have some knowledge of this stuff... 400$ will not buy you a sound/vid card and ram and a cpu idiot.... 400$ may buy you one of those things and certainly not top of the line latest tech.... just stfu....
