I just got quoted from outside the forums :D
Everyone needs to chill for a while though. I'm not sure Legion will provide the gameplay that DUST does right now, and I believe it may not be totally different. Smart move would be allowing you to do Faction Warfare and PC in DUST and other game modes in Legion at first, but using the same character and inventory.
Chill for now dudes, 1500 EVE time is the next DUST presentation, so lets just wait and see what more they have to say. |

Majority of people own PCs, the same cannot be said for game consoles. This means a much wider audience and potentially bigger player base.
Less development restriction from requiring a third party(Soney)'s approval for every patch and update. And yes, this is really a thing. There's a reason why Warframe on PS4 is lagging behind Warframe on PC. With the removal of third party approvals, CCP can update and patch in a timely manner.
That is not to say that I don't have my concerns. Will Dust514 progress(SP,ISK,AU) transfer over to Legion? Will Legion have a different business model? How will Legion handle hacks like aim-bot? etc.
The Dust514 keynotes was very exiting, but left us with more questions than answers.
Oh, and TREES. XD No we don't have Gamer PC. We don't like to play mouse + keyboard. We don't like the bunch of hackers with unlimited SP and ISK And finally do you think CCP can fight hackers on a F2P ? So it's "hackers" or you "pay". You're willing to drop $500-400 for a PS4 that's good for one thing and that will be replaced in a few years with PS5 but not $1,500-450 that can do the same thing and so much more? Also we don't even know the minimum requirements for Legion yet. You may not even need to get a new computer.
If you don't like mouse and keyboard, plug in a controller. I personally prefer the Playstation style of controller for gaming. Don't know how some of you can use the X-box ones and claim that's more comfortable to use.
Do I think that CCP can fight hackers on a F2P? First learn to read. I clearly state that I don't know if CCP can deal with hackers. Hell, we don't even know if they'll stick the same business model, F2P.

This means they can leave DUST514 in the state it's in on the PS3 and take the cash off whoever cares,,, while developing a superior game on the PC where all the effort will go....
THE CHANGE OF NAME is the troubling thing here,,, suggests IP protection and the wind-down of certain abilities.
I'm sure the name change was because the name dust514 carries with it bad reviews from every major reviewer

It means they didn't want to show their hand, and the inevitable end of DUST, in the same day they announced DUST 2.0 at Fanfest. |

If you think splitting the player base between a FPS on PS3 and PC and making them two different games with no crossover and making the PC version everything we wanted in the PS3 version is still going keep the 5000 players that are currently playing on the PS3 you are an idiot.
You can't have 12 people devoted to making 2 different games at the same time, Legion is going to get the A team, Dust is going to slowly die. Hopefully, if enough people quit on principle and demand money back from CCP, it will cut funding for Legion so the PC boys won't get what they wanted either, not that I don't feel GREAT about being a beta tester for Legion for the last 7 months WHILE FUNDING it.
