Hmmm... Mixed feelings about this.
I'm an EVE player who came over with the CE release. Enjoyed Dust a lot. And felt it had a lot of potential. So I am disappointed to see that potential not realised.
In saying that, if some form of recognition is given to Dust players in Legion, it will really help a lot. Asking for a full transfer is a joke, it will never happen, because it would alienate too many new players. 'Why start this game when people have years of free advantage'. Not to mention all the PC isk that has been farmed that would get dumped into certain peoples wallets and the piles of aurum bought BPO's that would skew any kind of market badly.
However giving all Dust players Collectors edition Templar style gear, a small static boost to starting skills & isk, and other items would be a great way to recognise those players contributions to Legion. Even if Dust continues Legion will be heavily influenced by it's progress so far and those players are the ones that have helped to shape that progress. |

Jvnx Nightchill wrote: On a side note, those proclaiming like new age messiahs that it would be better on a PC are ignorant, a well written FPS will play better on a console due to the specialized hardware than on a PC which is so varied. Consoles also make cheating harder (not impossible, but more difficult)
Dust/Legion is not just an FPS though. And the PC architecture gives them better control over the non FPS parts of the game as well as the interaction between it & other EVE Universe games.
KB/M also allows a much better C&C type environments for Squad & company leaders to utilise in RTS type interfaces
So there is a reasonable argument for the shift to PC based purely on capabilities. There are also counter arguments to keep it on console undoubtedly, but it's down to CCP's weighing of those arguments and they have made a call.
With regards to people who refuse to switch, well, tough luck. Being a 'console die-hard' is your issue, not CCP's. A lot of PC players switched to Console just for Dust. |

Loved Dust, back to COD, GoW, and HALO for me. If your PC is brand new top of the line now, it will almost 100% be fine to play legion on. PC's do not need upgrading every two years unless you insist on nothing but the newest devices for it.
My 'Gaming PC' is a five or so year old laptop, and it's capable of running every MMO currently on the market including new releases. If it was a Desktop it would still be just as viable. |
