The game is not unplayable by new players, it is unplayable by players who fold once the wind blows.
It can be done because I did it. Many others have done it. The thing is, a stomping in Dust is not like any other game. Any FPS multiplayer can be considered "unplayable" by new players who enter into those matches.
If you don't have a tank and you're new, you shouldn't be in the open, chasing tanks, shooting armored tanks with your lil joke AR, avoiding tougher opponents, choosing your movements, staying closer to cover so you can move back behind it if need be.
New players often don't learn from their deaths. They spawn and do the same thing, over and over and over again.
Tanks weren't a problem for me when I started, it was those lasers. Yea, lasers. Designed to chew through a Caldari suit like termites at a log farm. With each death I learned that maybe I should be more in the background until I level up some skills.
And it doesn't take long to have a decent dropsuit and weapon to do some damage.
And about Warbarge Strikes: Plenty of folks played COD where if you got a killstreak, you had some kind of support. In fact, it could be more than one. The most infamous was the nuke which is the same as the warbarge. In that game, all it took was one player who was a beast, killing everybody since he's twitching on Mountain Dew and adrenaline. Folks didn't complain about that, did they? In dust the Warbarge strikes are a squad effort (especially now). So how come random blueberries in a team are playing like its COD, wanting to be the sole hero with the highest record on the kill report instead of playing with other players to coordinate a win, which is more important?
If you notice your team getting a stomping, and you guys are all bunched up together, what do you think is going to happen? You're practically giving the enemy team clones.
You have to approach this game differently and that's why so many players get frustrated. Those BF4 and COD tactics don't work here. It's different.

Or do some thing about it and just dont stand in the path Tank is parked on the hill leading to the objective on a game of domination. You can't get by the tank because he keeps destroying infantry and AV's faces. What do you do? Don't stand in the path herp derp hurrrrrrrrrrr. P.S. all it takes is one look at your sig to see that you're obviously biased.
And you know what that comes from? The community complaining about the range and power of the swarms. Dropship pilots got mad and people rallied to get the swarms nerfed in range and power. Now, you have a redline rails, which weren't a problem at all before the swarm nerf.
All it takes is one look at the FG and realize that the road to versatility in skillsets is imperative for survival in New Eden.

So what if some one changes tanks to handle an different situation thats the point of this game counter and then recounter as long as it gives time for some one else to take the point . Ah and on another point im not biased I run other things and not just tank as such as logi and a forge gun to KILL other Tanks and ADS. The point is that avoiding tanks is not so easy like you said, especially for a newberry.
So the sound of the "woor...woor" of an approaching tank fails to register with them? I hear a tank before I see it and begin moving to cover to avoid before it pops up on me. Anytime it did, I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings.

How in gods name is a newberry going to know what a woor-woor means? Maybe he just thinks it's just the humming of the giant power generator in the background.
LOL you can't be serious? So a deep resonating sound doesn't alert a human being to something ominous approaching?
Don't be a stupid blueberry.
