don't know if anybody agrees with me, but i think tht they should get rid of the skill points being earned from playing the game and go to skill ques like eve online, it makes more sense as it would fall inline with eve, it would stop ppl spamming drop uplinks for the sp and it would give ppl a reason to check in on the game more often. just a suggestion what are your views on this peeps?

Why does Dust have to match eve in this system? Why not be unique? I mean if yoyr only argument is because people spam drop uplinks, teach them that they can earn more points with a repair tool and Nanite injector.
The current system does not penalize you for taking a break to spend a month or two playing an RPG or other ps3 game. I don't need evemon on my pc to remind me to update queue. And i like an sp reward system for good team play, plus it seems to work well for eventd. A queue just adds needless complications. Plus, i'd rather accumulate points, then spend on what I like, then spend a week waiting for a skill to train that I may later regret.
Plus, your idea would eliminate the active booster revenue source for CCP without offering a replacement. |

its not different tho, its the same idea tht most fps have used, you have your skill tree and ur skill gain from playing, i agree it is rewarding receiving sp for your kills, but i think the game doesn't flow with eve online. i reckon tht just by changing the lili message from sp to isk, will hold the same value and rewards maybe even more, as your gonna get more isk for killing somebody who is more technologically advanced then you and in turn feel bigger about your kills. the better the players equipment the bigger the isk. all it does is make isk your score for killing a player rather then sp. and if dust ever goes open world, the que is gonna be a better option, as 1 would expect a player to be spending a lot more time roaming and travelling,

I really love this idea, it gives it more of a feel of EVE. Not to mention that the skills set ups might actually benefit some people such as those who are not very good in the game and earn low sp.
This will definitely be a change and i can only imagine seeing "17 days 5 hours 32 minutes 20 seconds left - Level V Caldari Scout Operations
Hahaha.
I so want this, it will definitely keep me on track with where i want my SP instead of impulse spending on other ****

Rewards for team play would be a loss but there is no reason they cant keep, the sp gain for good team play or even replace those points with loyalty points, which 1 could exchange, for special equipment. and as for being penalized for not playing, u could still probably have passive sp, and besides ive never left a game on the first lvl and gone back to find ive completed it in my sleep, tht would be stupid.

And any others who can't log on quite as often to set up the skill training are left out in the cold, leaving them to either wait even longer to train up their skills, or simply biomass.
Now, I don't know how long/short these queues are or what the limits on them are, but it certainly alienates this group which CCP has said they still want to have around (or at least does it more than the current system, but there is no way to truly make a casual player feel on level with a serious player).
I only get to log on (maybe not even play) about once a week, I don't have the opportunity to update a skill queue.
Then again there is the point that a casual player can be put on a more level slope with the serious players, as they don't have to struggle for SP. |

In EVE you can set up to about a month of skills in queue.
I personally was able to set up more than that but those are tricks people just learn over time.

Okay, now I understand, thank you. It seems like a much more amenable plan now. I could set up a queue for a month ahead, no problem. For whatever little it's worth, you've got my support. |

Exactly, except their noses arent over the game, their noses are in their wallets trying to find ways to make more money instead of finishing what they started (dust) they are starting Legion which will more than likely outdo dust and none of this will matter cause of their greed
