Live feed here. Schedule here. Devblog with schedule breakdown here along with instructions on how to buy HD stream.
Here's the deal. You guys want a great, awesome game. EVE is a great, awesome game. You might be a hard core FPS'er and have no interest in spreadsheets in space. MMOFPS's have been done before. Sandbox MMOFPS's have been done before. What makes DUST special and what will make it a great, awesome game is its connection with EVE.
Even if you couldn't care less about EVE, if you care about DUST, you need to watch the fanfest stream. Even the EVE parts. DUST needs to have a strong connection with EVE to succeed, and that means you need to have a basic understanding of EVE to contribute to a meaningful EVE-DUST connection and gameplay.

Being at work or otherwise not being able to watch the feed is one thing.
But remember, if you look at the feed now (currently Ship and Module Balancing) and you shrug it off and say you don't care and it doesn't matter, you're part of the problem. DUST's success relies on its connection with EVE, and that means you need to have some kind of basic understanding of the EVE community and what's going on with it.

For example, right now CCP Fozzie and CCP Rise are talking about balancing Pirate Faction ships. You could be listening and getting a general idea of what 'pirate faction' means. You can see how ships progress in Pirate Factions goes from Frig > Cruiser > Battleship. You can see that they get additional hull bonuses and require multiple spaceship command skills. And most importantly, you can use what you learn to come up with ideas about how pirate factions can be implemented in DUST.

This is all relevant to us who play in New Eden. That's the point.
Keeping our communities separate won't benefit either community, and, it might surprise you, EVE is an amazingly successful game that doesn't need that benefit. DUST has everything to gain from the benefit that you would just toss out the window because that spredsheet stuf dont matter fer us dust mercs!!!

New ships being introduced. Take ideas from how CCP introduces new content (ships, specifically) to EVE and how they might introduce new content (suits, specifically) to DUST.
Also this is gold. "Some capsuleers claim that ECM is 'dishonorable' and 'unfair.' Jam them first. Kill them last." -some Gurista.

Because I have a stack of PS3 titles I'd rather wrap up than stay aboard a SoonGäó empty Warbarge.
You're part of the problem. I've seen your posting and I know you're not an idiot, so why are you posting this garbage?
DUST does not exist in a vacuum. You understand that. It exists in New Eden, where EVE is incredibly successful.
For one weekend out of your super fun action part important year, just watch a live stream about the game that DUST needs to emulate to be successful.

Unfortunately our regular mercs (all ~4,000 of us) aren't doing too terribly much to uplift the game, with the exception of a few.
Here's an idea from all that industry talk. EDIT: It's a huge opportunity to introduce (along with other activities) PvE and additional PvP game modes/game play. /EDIT

Its CCPs job to establish that connection, not mine. DUST already requires too much imagination without creating some false sense of connection in your head. I think EVE is an awesome concept but CCP has to make that connection, not us. I would cou ter and say that YOU are the problem by being content with things as is, instead of mercilessly criticizing the botched abortion that is the EVE / DUST link right now
You think that I'm content with the current state of DUST? I have no idea how you came to that conclusion. Not a damn clue. Learn to read. If you're still confused, try a question like, 'Are you content with the state of DUST?'

This guy gets it. He saw something they're doing in EVE, saw value in it, and thought of ways to apply that success to DUST. Admittedly, the art stream is a bit boring. But I'm not an art guy.
Here's an example of what keeping our communities polarized and separated does. This is from someone I fly with in WH space fairly frequently. Negativity, pessimism, and disdain. I'm doing what I can both in EVE and DUST to dispel such feelings and get some constructive momentum built up. The convo is largely unedited. I removed his name for anonymity, and some side conversations.

True, and I didn't mean that it was 4,000 total players. Right now we peak at ~4,000 online during any given day. Our record for PCU (peak concurrent users) online at once is 9,255. My numbers come from EVE Offline.

DUSTs success relies on it being a successful FPS experience, NOT a magical bond between the two games. That is an awesome addition that would really flesh this game out, but under no circumstances do we need that connection for the game to be good. CCP has to make a game worth playing before trying to tie the two together. Anyways, Fanfest boils down to one simple thing for me, and one simple thing ONLY: PvE or GTFO
And how do you think new-to-FPS CCP should handle competing with some of the biggest names in the genra? What do you think that PvE should be like? Could it perhaps follow any kind of pattern that EVE has set? On a base level, could we accept missions for one faction against another? Could we hunt for NPC pirates on our own? Could we fight Sansha ground forces in Incursions? Could we play some role in the newly coming EVE Industry Work Teams?
Tying the games together and doing it well will make it worth playing.

At this very moment you can watch the Council of Stellar Management (CSM) round table and see how CCP established a player body with some role and function that works, and see how the CPM could take from the CSM to be a more effective body.
See how the CSM elections work, what they do, what impact they have, and set the bar for the CPM.

Yep. Valkyrie keynote is from 17:00 GMT to 18:30 GMT.
Continuing with my theme of an optimistic view point for DUST's future and how it's related with and dependent on a meaningful connection with New Eden (That means EVE and, soon, Valkyrie), I'll be watching for how CCP is developing a third game, what steps they're taking, plans, ideas, etc. and how they could relate to DUST to make it a better game.

PLEX for Booze.
Ask yourself. Why doesn't CCP support PLEX in DUST yet? What needs to be done to work towards that goal? How can you influence CCP via the forums, social media outlets, and other avenues to make this happen?
The highest, most noble goal of any merc is to be able to buy beer (and other things) with his ISK.
