Makes sense, but I'm currently running a caldari scout (see OP). Which means that I don't generally engage in hasty fights that result in me fluxing myself. Also, my shields go up fast enough so that tactical retreat is a viable option!

I was once a a proto gallente Assault suit too (pre 1.6).

Just expect to to be falling back alot, which in itself is not very good as PC suit with a weapon like that if you are going to push and hit a objective unless you are camping it.
