No one likes these grind fest for events, now instead of double sp per kill how about you double everything, yea that's right even the passives!
Its alright everyone, no need to worry it's just an Amarr scout :(

Passive SP doubled, you only have to log in and play two games for each day. I could go for this.

It rewards players who actually participate and contribute to the team. It's a way of preventing players from just afk-ing the events.
If you only earn 500-1000 wp per match it'll be a grind fest. If you're up in the 2000-3000 you'll get a lot more sp.

Equip any Aurum "Origin" dropsuit from the Origin Pack and reach the bonus quicker with 400 Bonus SP and 7,500 ISK per infantry kill!
The total potential maximum during this event is: double weekly SP cap + active booster bonus + 500,000 Bonus SP + 10,000,000 ISK based on your number of kills with all dropsuits.
So basically the entire event is designed to get someone to log on and grind as much as possible. Unless they want to spend real money on one of these "Origin" packs which will reduce the grind by a little bit. Sounds about as fun as going to the dentist for a root canal. I'll pass. |

When we had the 3x cap 5x active SP event, I actually capped just as quickly, if not slightly faster, than I do on normal weeks.

I agree, events are getting terribly stagnant. Seems like every three weeks we get the exact same event just with a different name.
Don't think CCP is very creative and SP events have proven to be super lucrative so they just regurgitate the same event. |

When he says the passive SP doubled, he means the passive portion of your active skill points, not your regular passive skill points. What I mean by that is active skill points are calculated by
Active Skill Points = Warpoints + (seconds in battle times 5)
During these events, CCP started only giving bonuses the the Warpoint portion of the calculation. This was done because of that huge AFK problem we used to have. However, since then they fixed the problem with kicking people who are idle, yet we still have these terrible WP only bonuses which make the events huge grindfests.
Amarr are the good guys.

How about a different compromise? Bonus SP from WP and no bonus to the cap so we're done faster. Throw in roll-over SP so people behind can choose to grind more.
