Everything thing nameless has said is accurate and anyone who says different is a tanker. The fact still remains that the energy put out to stop a prolific tanker is far greater than the energy it takes to call said tank.

I have to ask, do you consider this section of the forums a problem solving section? As it's mostly filled with idiots who lack the ability to properly analyze a situation. CCP primarily doesn't listen because when there are a large number of threads bitching about the same thing, it becomes too difficult to wade through the ****. Keep things to a mega thread run by someone intelligent and maybe Ccp will listen to half of the idiotic ideas that thrive here.

I don't play ambush and when I do if a tank is raking up kills then I call in a sica fit that has no added modules. You're right it's general discussions, now if only the person I was talking to and the majority of people posting realized that, it would be wonderful. As it has been said reducing tank numbers as done well but the need for people to be organized puts too much pressure on the one squad that is organized and competent. Combine all the problems of the ambush gamemode, the poor spawn points, the lack of matchmaking, and the afromentioned balancing issues; it's a recipe for a crap shoot. To note tanks don't need to be nerfed, more fiddling with av is needed.

You can never truly balance vehicles because they aren't just public assets, when they get blown up the guy piloting yet has lost a vehicle from his personal stock.
It's the same with suits, when a tanker kills a guy in a Proto suit with a Proto weapon that guy just lost some expensive gear. Tanks use to be crazy expensive, so the Logic that it should take 3 guys to kill a tank worked. Tanks were harder to kill and drive. Tankers wanted to only be killed by tanks, that made a pretty large problem.
