I've tried it. The scrambler pistol is still better at close combat, even though its not a close combat weapon anymore. Sidearms aren't all terrible, but all sidearms are terrible at what I need them to do now.
If this game was fun, I wouldn't be playing it.

IDK....... The ion pistol pretty good to me. Killed many scouts and medium frames with it. It's my " Lovely Anti-B*tch " gun. :D

In addition to having terrible range and accuracy, The Ion pistol has lower damage per second than the other pistols. It needs its damage about doubled to be what it's supposed to be.
If this game was fun, I wouldn't be playing it.
