You do know that the skill bonus for the scout class is a reduction in pg/cpu of cloaks right? sooooooooo a 60/200 cloak, with lvl5 would cost 45/150, see the difference? Yes they have the same pg/cpu, but you basically can only fit a cloak on a scout suit effectivly. I use the smart scout as my map starter, quickly rushing to objectives, setting uplinks etc. Ever started a match, and the reds have D and A before you can get to B? Triple stacked complex kin cats with more stamina than I know what to do with. |

I've had more success running an Amarr scout with plates and a scrambler rifle than anything. Scouts could run as an alt assault before the cloak. The cloak does not invalidate that.
If any scout should be a fast assault it should be Amarr.
Lose the crutch and do your job, which is scout. First in, identify targets, flank, distract, reduce numbers.

Amarr with ScR best marksman in game. So Amarr don't get a proper scout role because.........
Amarr never fit in the same as others. Their logis have a sidearm. Maybe the Amarr fill the hybrid role found in most games. Yes they are a socut frame, but that doesn't mean they should be the same as all the other scouts. With all the other Amarr suits leaning towards mid to long range combat, their scouts don't need to be in CQC, and thus don't need the best EWar stats. Instead they get the best relocation stats and more starting EHP. |
