There is the technology lab forum where ccp and third party tool devs share notes.
Currently Dust has limited data from the existing eve api calls.

Personally, I use both the CREST Districts API, and the legacy EVE API's Corporation keys, which will pull things like a DUST corp's member list, if you have an EVE director in the corp to provide the key.
I'm a huge proponent of wanting them to get the API in order for DUST.
