Fanfest this weekend and im expecting lots of new things to be released soon. And thats why i started again to save SP for the next broken, imbalanced thing that we are going to get. So who else is saving SP at the moment due to that?

I have nowadays always an SP-buffer just in case.
Not much, few hundred thousand but I'm prepared if there is need to spec into something quickly.

I-¦m saving for complex kinetic catalyzers on my gallente commando. 
My main character is pretty decent nowadays.
It seems like we might get a new progression system (skill system), i.e. in that case there will also be a full respec.

Well judging from last year's fanfest, you'll have 9 months from the announcement until they release the content for you to save up the SP. |

I held off making major SP purchases for Uprising 1.8 on the remote chance we'll see something big for Fanfest 2014. It was one year ago Uprising was launched.
CCP Saberwing was painfully tight lipped in Dev Hangout earlier this month. We haven't seen any patch notes either. So either it will be a surprise (I hate surprises because they are always traps) or we are getting shafted. Maybe this once I'll losses my stance on surprises.

I maxed my commando last event, have all the weapons proto that I want/care to use, and have all core maxed on my main. I have nothing else to purchase unless I skill into vehicles. My sp pool will be rising from now on...

What's the point saving sp, things move so slowly with development for DUST that you might as well use your sp and enjoy the current game more.

I am saving 2M SP until they announce how much they are going to Nerf Hammer the heavy suits and/or they finally finish the modifications to the medium suits. The mediums were not finished but were dropped anyway. The CPU/PG and slot configurations are subject to the whims of CCP/Shanghai and I really don't want to waste nonrefundable SP when they have posted that more changes are due (medium) or threatened (heavies).
And so it goes.

Well I have basically skilled into the things I really like :). So I even have started to skill into some useless crap like the ion pistol just out of boredom. Sure I could skill into vehicles or just another dropsuit or two but why If I don't enjoy the way those play?
And of course I could bring one or two weapons to prof 5 but to be honest currently I can't justify the expense as those weapons already work great on prof 3 or 4....Thats the reason I have this spare SP for stuff that might catch my interest |
