Iv notice a sevre lack of Heavy AV game to game,so in response to this may i suggest CCP design new starter fits equipped with forgerguns to better localize AV to the less fortunate (the newplayers). It will give new role seekers and newplayers a small taste into heavy AV with little no on SP investment that isnt just anti armor swarms and bring us one step closer to a more balanced vehicle vs infantry game.

There are militia tanks like Sica and Soma. They require no skills and come with a militia Rail gun or a militia Blaster. They are purchasable in the market under "Vehicles" and "Turrets".

They are purchasable in the market under "Militia Gear" then "Vehicles" and/or "Turrets". Edit: I'm also not quite sure if your talking about HAVs or Heavy dropsuits. If you are talking about Heavies with forge guns to take down tanks, then they're also purchasable in the market under "Militia Gear" and then somewhere in the heavy weapons.
Instead of Heavy AV i would have said HAV or tank starter fit, the topic is for the localization of heavy AV(forge guns in particular) for infantry.
I'm aware of militia gear, unfortunately new players aren't, you have to show it to them at the start(shove it in their face),once they know what it taste like they look for better gear off that and venture into infantry Heavy AV market.

I picked Amarr as my race initially because we used to get a FG starter fit in beta if you picked the right combination of specialization (cant for the life of me remember what it was, maybe sentinel). I think CCP took it out because it was a bit unfair to the other races.
Nonetheless, the militia FG is still reasonably effective. While the NPE is pretty crap, if players can't figure out the existence of militia gear then I don't what to say.

The specialization was Enforcer:) i was pretty PO that they took them out was a big lose the NPE,heaven forbid CCP actually explained roles.
Youd be suprised how but direction you have to give newplayers and i find it strange that there was more in beta than there is now

+1 for more starter fits! ... ALL the starter fits!
(And a game mode where those are all you can wear, but that's a different topic)

Now that we have full racial suits, all starter fits need to be updated for their racial variant suits and weapons (for heavy's, the weapons used would be changed once the other heavy weapons are released) |
