Can you give them some.
At the very least some intelligence to fly over hill terrain when going for a target no take a 'B' line through it.
If they can work out that they passed a vehicle and do a 'U' turn they can work out there's a hill in front of them too.

They already phase through the ground and pull 60 degree turns on a dime...... what more do you want?
One pulls a can opener and lifts me out for you to shoot?

Sounds like you're on par with the missiles.

Tell me, Heavenly, how would these missiles logically work? The missiles should simply go straight if it loses "sight" of it's lock. We're assuming already that they can track a full 360 angle to find their target.
Does current real world missile tech detect obstacles? That's about what I'd expect from basic and MLT swarms. If there were some variant that uses more CPU, and costs more. It could be ADV or proto tier.
They might have reduced damaged as they would have to trade a small amount of their explosives to accommodate the added tech inside the missile, or possibly trade range (fuel) for what you're asking for.
There, now we have a more practical suggestion. |

current real world missiles like the FGM-148 javelin are fired UP so they don't have to worry about obstacles since they crash DOWN on the target not follow it, although this is also possible. Some real world missiles also have the ability to weave around anything due to the locking system being thermal imaging, meaning the target is still visible through walls.

I don't know everything....Oh well, it should still be at least an advanced swarm. |

Smart missiles used to be in the game, but having that + conjunction with the pre 1.7 lock on ranges was just ridiculous. I don't mind if a tank weaves around the corner of a building to avoid me. That's smart play. I'm glad they reduced some speed because a tank being able to flat outrun my missiles was angering. But the hill thing really does annoy me. I even specifically pointed you guys up in the air so you could avoid all that.
However, I think the reason they cause so much issues with the terrain is because they are still partially smart. You'll notice that when up close and personal with the tank the missiles sharply get closer to the ground to hit the tank in the body, not from the top. I think that was on purpose to increase your changes of hitting it in a soft spot, not on the top of it where it has the most protection against your swarms. When I'm locking on from behind the tank, it almost always hits them low and from the behind in one of their softest spot.
