I was talking to Sota about this on Skype. There is hatred of those on top, then there is what is going on now.
I dislike the donut because it concentrates too much of the game's talent in one place. It's just simply unhealthy for the game. The problem for DNS is that so little of the community has ever participated in PC. They just read the QQ on the forums and what they hear in squads. Over time that has lead many to believe that AE and others cheat to win. Glitches and Exploiters. This is a problem for DNS and it's a problem for generating interest in PC.
I don't think the general community understands the amount of preparation and commitment it takes from individuals/corps to become beast mode in PC. For the community to think that the top players have just figured out a way to cheat and have now just resorted to farming ISK isn't good.

Before we were in DNS I had no problems with the alliance or what they were doing..
I'm just talking about perception. There's a lot of hate on the forums and there seems to be some concern from DNS about what is causing the negative perception.
I think it's more to do with what I posted above than it does with some of the DNS members that troll and call everyone scrubs. All that stuff does is evoke emotion. All the top corps joining together removed any hope amongst the populace of any upward mobility. Couple that with the fact they think you guys cheat and they may never throw their hat in the ring.

What do you want DNS to do? Aside from fighting each other and I am not sure how the helps other Corps.
An honest answer is wanted. Please tell me what DNS could do to make the game better for others.
The only thing you could do to help other corps would be to give them districts and not attack them. AND you'd all have to leave your corps to go train up other corps. You'd also have to figure out a way to make people aim better.
There isn't anything that DNS staying together or breaking up will do to make corps better. It still won't change the fact that game mechanics have created a situation where there is an enormous gap between the elite players and those who are not. By this I mean no incentive to squad up and/or win matches in pubs, no team deploy outside of PC, and a terrible NPE system that leads to poor new player retention.
That isn't the fault of DNS. But DNS's perception issues are compounded as I've described in other posts above.
