I admit it. I run around with STD Minlogi suits so I can spam uplinks, and I do this for every match I play. My first suit has viziam gauged, flux, and quantum links. This allows me to throw down 7 links. After setting those out, I run to the nearest supply depot and switch fits.
With the next fit, I drop down viziam stable and viziam standard links along with p-13 quantum links. That is another 6. Here, I usually play around until I am killed and then proceed to switch fits to one that has N-11 flux, R-9, and stable links allowing me to field 5 more.
After dying with that fit, I switch to my MLT and STD link fit and drop those down. I then use this fit for the rest of the game as its my tankiest and allows me to survive longer.
I frequently top the leaderboards from massive amounts of WP and I receive quite a large amount of isk. But most importantly, I keep my team fighting and pushing objectives even though my tactics are scrubbish. |

Because everyone loves having so many uplinks deployed they have no idea where exactly they will be spawning.
Your game f'ing sucks, but I'll still play it.... damn you!

I may be an uplink scrub, but I'm not an idiot when it comes to placing them properly and effectively.
It's idiots that spam 6 uplinks within a 5m radius while facing a wall that ruin everything. |

My Logistics M-1 not only has the speed, but its slot layout better complements my play style. It also has 3 equipment slots allowing for more uplinks to be placed as compared to the Amarr's 2.
Hell, I'd prefer a standard scout suit for deploying uplinks over a slow moving Amarr Logi. At least the scout has stealth and better passive scanning on its side. |

I use to do this in domination games. I'd run on the outskirts of the map, dropping links wherever I went. It was a fun way to farm ISK as I never had to participate in battle.

Normally, I don't care about uplink spammers.
What I care about is when someone spawns on one of my uplinks before throwing several down on top of it for a flux to destroy all of them in one go.

Jesus I hate people that place a buttload of uplinks in one spot without turning around. Do you know how many times I've spawned in only to be facing a wall and then having a bunch of reds shooting me in the face?

As an Amarr Logi if you've placed one well I will probably put a backup outside flux range, and preferably around a corner.
Important buildings get them too.

I run uplinks on amarr scouts, so usually my uplink is the "backup" one a good deal away from the action.
I can understand it happening when I'm on a good ledge, but sometimes it happens to me when I drop an uplink in the ass-end of nowhere just as backup.

My default suit is an advanced Gallente scout build with stable uplinks and R-9 uplinks, so I can have 3 going at any one time. I typically place them within a short distance of the closest node--barring certain maps where I can make the initial push towards nodes in the middle of the map and create a base from which the team can operate out of. Don't think that makes me a scrub, though.
Actually finished first on my side twice last night in skirmish matches as a result of my teammates constantly dying...
